I don’t know whether you are saying these are the same things or your English is inadequate for your purpose.

In 1 Kings 21, Ahab is rebuked for murdering Naboth. He “tore his clothes and put on sackcloth and fasted.” In response God said to Elijah, “Do you see how Ahab has humbled himself before Me?”

Ahab did not trust the Lord Jesus… not by a long shot, so your assertion as worded is not correct.
He is right, whoever has heard the Gospel is humble by trusting Jesus.
If our works were like Ahabs, it would seem to be humble if we feared Gods word for once, but we have already heard that apart from Him we can do nothing, and if we don't remain as a branch in Him, we are withered and prepared to be burned.

Agreed. It’s the conflation of concepts that I don’t accept. He struggles to express his thoughts clearly in English, so I merely refuted the complete conflation. He is welcome to clarify.

Piecing together what he says in the thread, he's basically saying that that Jesus aught to be trusted more than any power of this world, including our senses and hearts, and though he may not address scripture with scripture, he speaks by an overall knowledge of the scriptures.
Matt 23:12—"Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.", Is his spiritual basis for humility; Peters revelation of Jesus being Christ through hearing his word, and his subsequent attainment of being a worthy apostle of Christ after denying his association of Him through repentance—as a token of the humility Peter has.
And when he says:
Therefore Jesus deserves to call him good.
But as a symbol of humbleness according to God"s Standard.
Jesus never accept that he is good.
LUKE 18:18-19
18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.

This is God's Standard in humbleness.
Maybe we noticed that many so called Christians are claiming that they are followers of Jesus Christ.
He's saying that we should acknowledge with Jesus that no flesh is worthy of being called Good, but it's only good to have faith in Gods work (Jesus being the complete work) that saves us all; Jesus himself saying that he did not come of his own will, but of Gods, and lives, dies, and resurrects entirely by God.

Perhaps your basis in 1 Kings 21 is in Old Testament and while Jesus just in New Testament.

It is because your recognition to Jesus is not a revelation from the Father like the Apostles & Disciples (Matthew 16:15-17)
And so you don't know the real Jesus Christ.

How about discussing the text instead of parading your ignorant judgement.

You are being expose by Lord Jesus with what words you use to say.
You can't do this in anyway.
MATTHEW 5:44
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
So then, why are you cursing @Dino246, and hate him, despitefully using him, and persecuting him?

Jesus in his 2nd role as Son of the living God showed how to humble himself. Who will believe on him?

Despite that Jesus was found with wisdom by the Jews.
MATTHEW 13:54
54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?

He humble himself by saying he knows nothing and can do nothing.
JOHN 5:19
19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

Jesus did not say that He knows nothing, and He did not say the words in John 5 right after the words in Matthew 13.

Jesus was foretold as early as Genesis 3 v 15, for He was purposed from before the foundation of the world,
and His birth, life, ministry, death, and resurrection fulfilled hundreds of prophesies from the Old Testament.

Another humbleness showed by Jesus:

Despite Jesus had no sins but he did not accept that he is good.
LUKE 18:18-19
18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.

Do we see this kind of humbleness of Jesus to the what so called followers of Christ today?
Who is a religious leader have the guts to claim in his followers that he can do nothing and knows nothing?
Can they say to their followers what Jesus refuse to call himself good?

Who can humble himself or herself and trust Jesus by believing his word?
ROMANS 3:10-12
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Who will believe on what Jesus said?
He compared the salvation in a procedure by cleaning the cup and platter.
MATTHEW 23:25-26
25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

Who can explain the meaning of it?

I can, but you will likely dismiss what I say, just as you dismissed what I told you about the flood.

Who will believe that Jesus is speaking in Parables
MARK 4:34
34 But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.

Who can humble himself or herself that the holy book we read is sealed? The meaning of the words is sealed.
REVELATION 5:1-5
5 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.

2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?

3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.

4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.

5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

Who can answer this?

When God the Father said in these verses:
PSALMS 78:2
2 I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:

EZEKIEL 20:49

4 Then said I, Ah Lord God! they say of me, Doth he not speak parables?

Who is showing humbleness before God?
1. My God not everything you say is in Parables. There are words that are not Parables.
2. AMEN

When the Lord Jesus said:
MARK 4:34
34 But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.

Who is showing humbleness before the Lord?

I do some. Am I humble enough though? I'm not sure.

But I know one thing. I know what being humble before the Lord means because I did a word dtudy on it.
And I'll bet you one digital dollar that no one else on this board can define what being humble is really!

Come on Brothers & Sisters, prove me wrong! Lol

Firstly, the kind of genuine humility that isn't looking for a reward ! That would seem like it's important don't u think ?
I once saw a documentary about a group of Greek monks living on an island . They had absolutely no modern conveniences at all , no electricity , no running water etc . They worked very hard all day on what was basically a big rock in the Mediterranean . Annoyingly I can't remember what the work was , obviously the basics of cooking , cleaning , fetching water etc but they did do something else , maybe processing wool ? Something like that but , they did it without electricity or running water as I already said . It was extremely labour intensive and a very slow process . Obviously the younger ones did the hardest jobs but the older ones did their share of menial tasks . They did this every day except Sunday . On Sundays they fasted and prayed and studied the Bible all day . This was their lives for decades . One of them was interviewed , a younger one , he was asked about the lack of conveniences and the very hard physical work that could easily b done by machines . His reply has stuck with me . He said something like ; it's very important for us to never do any kind of work that would make us feel proud of ourselves . I was astonished . We always think that Christians should b do gooders , in their communities , churches , families etc but no . They looked after each others needs in that they all helped out but other than that , they believed that doing this boring , hard physical work that didn't really benefit anyone much , was helping them to b humble .
If we r only doing nice things in anticipation of a reward , that's not true humility . Personally , I think true humility comes from suffering and recognising our own uselessness and our complete dependence on God , His mercy towards us , His love for us and His generosity towards us . Without Him , being active in our lives every second of every day , we r nothing but a pile of dust . We r nothing and only exist because God is gracious and merciful and generous and loving .

I have noticed the same thing. The Lord is so patient with me and longsuffering that it amazes me.
I was also thinking build up my treasure in heaven? I'm not going to say that I don't want it. I want whatever the Lord wants me to have. But what good is a Treasure room going to be to me in heaven. I will already have everything else that I need of course so what do I do with it? Show it off at the BBQ? Lol. It wouldn't make any difference if I get any Treasure in heaven that I can see now. He did already say that we can't comprehend it, it hasn't into the thoughts and minds of man. SO why worry about it at all.

Is that humble do you think?

Good point ! Christ is our treasure and our desire is to b with him . That's all any of us wants . If we let him into our hearts , he will guide us and bring us closer to God which is all the reward any Christian could ever want . Eternity with our Creator and His Son , that's the reward . I just try to remember that absolutely every good thing in my life , big or small , is a gift from God and without Him I dont know where I would have been now , dead , in jail , in a ' special ' hospital , one of those 3 things for sure ! Always thank God and give Him the glory for every blessing ❤️
