I've got a torti cat named Princess. She's a great mouser even though she's an indoor cat. I had a bull mastiff named Gunnie that I dearly miss. I'd love to have another one, but can't afford to buy one.
Forget purebreed and go to the local animal shelter. There's a dog there that needs a home and hybrids (aka "mutts") are proven more healthy and mentally balanced than purebreeds. And it won't cost much at all.
Besides, I never did see the importance of getting a purebreed. I'm a mutt myself. Part scotch, part irish, with just a little indian... er, native american in me.
I don't know if I posted on this board in a while or even on this particular thread, but my family (Parents and my little brother.) Yes I live with parents but I wish I didn't! But we have a dog, cat, and chinchilla. I want to have a pet spider monkey I always wanted one since I was younger, but they are illegal basically anywhere n the united states or you need a special license.
