I don't have an ideal job or profession in mind but I would have to be sure they were happy with their job. I wouldn't want them resenting my education or job and I had a conversation the other day that pointed out policemen also have weird hours so one of them would understand mine.

There was a good long time when I was a little girl that I just naturally assumed I'd be marrying a prince. I don't mean behavior-wise. You know, like, a prince with his own castle and cable TV and an unlimited supply of Whoppers (the candy, not the sandwich).

Since I first started dating my husband, who does not, by the way, have a castle (and it makes him sad), he's been...

A burger flipper at McDonald's
A white-water rafting guide
A merchandizer for Coca Cola
An electrician
A...some kind of technician that installs satellites (basically an upgrade on a cable guy)
Electrical maintenance at a hospital

So, no "prince", no castle, no cable TV, no lifetime supply of Whoppers.

But....self-proclaimed comedian, roof over my head (except the couple of months we thought living in a tent would be fun...it wasn't), satellite tv, and a couple of kids and some horribly annoying cats.

Meh, not too shabby.

Ummm....I am a guy dude. And you left out the one instrument I do in fact play...which is drums! Wow..maybe I should come back & rejoin CC. *shakes head* lol I think I need some time away.

Yeah dude. This is the kind of mate that I can imagine you with. You wouldn't want her playing the drums too and upstaging you now, would you? :p
I picture her with one of those Joan Jett hairdos shrieking out some hard to hit notes while shredding some awesome rifts on her guitar. Not you? You aren't down with that? lol

I don't rightly know but I don't see myself marrying a military woman, police woman or doctor/nurse (first - away from home a lot and the other two keep very unusual hours).

You heart breaker! Poor Jullianna is going to be devastated over this one. Well, someone be sure to take her off the list. Uh oh, this means she is available again.

Is that the bat signal? What the?

Since I didn't get to you before:

Tintin: Social worker, daycare, or someone that works pro bono. But not like a lawyer or anything like that. I can picture someone that spends a lot of time helping out with the local church, baking, organizing, working events, etc...

LOL funny thing is,that when I was a young man of 10 or 11 I imagined that one day Miss Jett would meet me & she'd fall head over spike wrist band for me...but alas the age difference & oh yeah, one more thing...the her being a lesbian. (just my luck,eh?) Well ty Markum for having good taste in matchmaking. I wouldn't be too upstaged if she was a better drummer than me...I mean,dude..have you see Sheila E? Ohhhh baby. She can upstage me anytime! LOL *oh great...now I'll be banned in 3....2...1....*

I'm not picky. She doesn't need to work.

As long as she can work it in the kitchen. But slicing and dicing like a Japanese steak chef wouldn't hurt either. She doesn't need to be Japanese though, just have Japanese feet if she's going to walk on me, my back that is.

If she has a heart of gold, the patience of Job, and a mean double chocolate chip cookie recipe, her employment can be my rib. And taking care of all the poopy diapers.

C.
All of us who know you realize this is the truth of it! haha

FYI: I know it isn't REALLY close to you, but she is going to be in NYC on May 17th. Still time to plan a trip. lol

Julianna is a wonderful woman but she's more your type (and age - very youthful!)

hmm that's a tough question... I would just want him to have a nice paying job (not in fast food business unless he owns them) that doesn't require him 2 work too many long hours so he can come home and cook because I cant cook even if my life depended on it lol

I'm thinking... Any man who would be willing to put up with me would have landed himself a new full-time career. :)

I would glare @ him for the "old" remark, but his eyes are so high up I can't tell if he's looking or not :) Gonna go get my heels on..

*mumble mumble little whippersnapper mumble mumble*

Oh wait *goes to get the flare gun outta her trunk*

I am not concerned on what career choice any future spouse might have.
I only care that whatever it is they do they are at least a little bit happy in it.
Plus I would want them to feel complete as a man.
I know it is hard when a man isn't making what he thinks is enough or when his wife makes more money. Then a man feels like he is less of a man.

Just my humble opinion.

Kind of a shocking answer but cool! (don't ask me why "shocking"..I guess just surprised me)

There is this thing you should know about.

The color red and tempers are sometimes associated.

Now... I would... umm... suggest that you... RUN!

It would be nice to have a mate that is a computer technician to fix my computer when it needs fixed. It would be nice to have a mate that just has a job. Most of the men I run into don't have a profession at all. I don't want a mate based on their income as long as they have a job.
