It's funny you mention band teachers being a bit misunderstood, because I feel that way about psychologists.

You can't spell psychologist without first spelling psycho. *suspicious gaze* That's all the understanding I need.

I'm not a psychologist,
But I play one on TV! Sorry, couldn't help it. ^_^
though my degree was a double major in psychology and sociology. I hear it pretty often once people find out my major: "Oh, so you're analyzing me?" The answer is yes

BUSTED!

People are just really complicated and interesting. :D

I think I'd feel more comfortable if I could stick with being simple and dull. In fact, I would think psychs would prefer someone pretty straightforward and simple, just because spending all day peeling away the layers of all your patients' brains' onions, you'd rather NOT have to do that when you get home. ^_^ But since I'm no psych, obviously...I have no clue what I'm talking about.

Anyway, I don't mean to pick on you Shouryu,

Waitaminute, I was being picked on? I have got to get more sleep. I have no clue what's going down any more.

my main point is that it's ironic that that would make you uncomfortable, because I think if I was yolked with someone with a psychology background, I feel we'd be able to understand each other better. ;)

You wouldn't ever second guess it? Like, "Hey, waitaminute, he's projecting right now. Except he knows that I know he's projecting! He's FAKE projecting! Unless...he knows that I know that he's fake projecti--and I've gone cross-eyed."

I'm not ruling out ever being attached to a psych. I'm just saying that I don't know if I had the guts, even after your perfectly rational explanation. ^_^

Here is what I see fitting for others just based on what I know about them...

iTOREtheSKY: A musician; vocals, guitar, or bass. Because she would be cool like that and literally rock!
Jullianna: A teacher, school counselor, or someone that works with kids... maybe pediatrician. His job is driven by his compassion.
Arwen83: Sales, advertisement, reporter, detective... Someone that pays close attention to details.
rachelsedge: Builder, farmer, physician, teacher. A missionary.
Powemm: A builder. How else is he going to build those cob houses? :p
Duchess_Aimee: Some sort of business owner. Maybe coffee shop, flower shop, etc... Self-motivated with a flexible schedule.
zeroturbulence: Administrative OR nursing or other medical. Someone organized and very caring and nurturing.

Well... that was fun. Not sure how accurate, but it was fun. LOL

I'm not picky. She doesn't need to work.

As long as she can work it in the kitchen. But slicing and dicing like a Japanese steak chef wouldn't hurt either. She doesn't need to be Japanese though, just have Japanese feet if she's going to walk on me, my back that is.

If she has a heart of gold, the patience of Job, and a mean double chocolate chip cookie recipe, her employment can be my rib. And taking care of all the poopy diapers.

What occupation or line of work is your ideal mate in? Will he/she be a pastor, lawyer, architect, missionary, professor, doctor, fireman, pro athlete, in the military, singer, writer, actor, artist, etc..? And tell us why. :)

Well zero... Titles dont mean so much ... Let Me see... For Him? I want Him to be lead by God into the job that best suites his talents and gifts..doing what brings satisfaction to him and satisfaction to him in his relationship with God in the kingdom while doing it .. serving others to his satisfaction ., to be honored , supported and respected .. doing what Hod brings is to in season and out of season as a couple ., with the ability for
Me to step up and help in any way I can as a supporting role to Him in it ..
I grew up around carpentry .. My grandfather built custom homes , so of course I got to mud, tape, stain, roof, AND blob the ceilings ..among other things .. So a shop for him with tools I can play with is preferable
But not a demand .., Whatever god puts in our hands to do... I've already decided .. We will move mountains with getting Is there ..but independently for Him.. Whatever God calls Him/us to be is the job I see him/us doing .
I'm okay with whatever ...

I didn't know this about you. Sheesh, my basement and garage would be like a playground to you. LOL

Hmm, personally, I don't care if my mate is a doctor or a dishwasher, as long as he is a man after God's own heart.

That being said, I've only ever dated musicians and/or artists. I have a music background, so I guess that's why. However, with me becoming a nurse the chance of me marrying a fellow nurse or doctor is possible. I'm not sure I want to be with someone who is in medicine as well. I like the idea of having something that is completely my own. *shrugs* I don't know. I figure that God's got it under control, so I'm gonna let Him introduce me to my future mister.

Markum DOES realize you're a guy, Tore... In his list, he was just suggesting what he thought the right lady for you might be into. :)

I don't rightly know but I don't see myself marrying a military woman, police woman or doctor/nurse (first - away from home a lot and the other two keep very unusual hours).

*Glances at other thread*

Apparently, the right woman for TinTin will have to be content with the fact that he has his own raging fan club (not to mention, people trying to bid him off), as well as the power to grant (or with hold) bubble wrap privileges...

Perhaps TinTin's dream woman will be into public relations (and/or, bubble wrap production.) :)

No worries, Tore. No need to hang your head. And, we like your avatars!

It's just that if you take a another look, Markum stated the purpose of his post in the first sentence: "Here is what I see fitting for others based on what I know about them..." :)

...Barmaid

I could so totally see this.

Especially the part where Zao first meets her at her place of employment and says, "Bring me my dinner, wench!"

And she then promptly drops the whole tray of food and drinks all over him.

Yeah, I'd call that a perfect match. ;)

lol...God bless TinTin! :)
I really don't care what line of work my ideal mate would have...plz just be happy with it. My ex-wife was flip-floppy on this. The 1st 2 yrs we were married she had no desire to work, just spend $$$ have fun...ok,I was fine with this..then she said she got bored, wanted a job..ok,cool...she get's one & then after a yr hates it...but now of course we need both of us to be working due to various problems with the house that need repair & issues with our dog..etc...yanno...major life upkeep bills. I'm pretty sure she grew to resent me because I wasn't like a gyser of $$$. Her family was & that's what she was used to. Ok,I am derailing..sorry... lol
I would support my significant other in anything she wanted to do in any way humanly possible.
I would think it's awesome if she was into something artistic or musical...but happiness is key.

Yeah, I'm not musical, so a musical wife would be very cool. I've been told I have a good singing voice but I'm not the sort to get up on stage and sing in front of people.

LOL..yeah I re-read it like 3 times...I think all those years of heavy drinking are slowly sneaking up on me. LOL
