What was abolished?

You see walking in the spirit will lead you out of sin because of Christ this is not a simple rule book but our spirit food

This is true, but can anyone walk in the Spirit while breaking that "rule book" ?

For what is sin if not transgression of the Law/Instructions?

Hizikahya

Let's assume 'opposition to the law was abolished'. ok.

Whose opposition is abolished.?
God never opposed His Law, so that would be a moot point.
Unbelievers continue to oppose the law, so it's opposition on that front has not been abolishhed.
Believers seem split, some opposing some supporting it.

So I ask...
Whose opposition to the law was abolished.?

These people's opposition to the Creator's Instruction was/is abolished:

Ezekiyl 36:26-28, "A new heart; mind, will I also give you, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will take away the heart of stone out of your flesh, and will give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments, and do them. And you will dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and you will be My people, and I will be your Father."

Yeremyah 31:33, "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israyl: After those days, says Yahweh: I will put My Law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts, and I will be their Strength, and they will be My people."

"Law" is word #H8451 - Torah: direction, instruction, law Original Word: תּוֹרָה Part of Speech: Noun Feminine Transliteration: torah

Hebrews 10:16, "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says Yahweh: I will put My Law into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them."

Romans 7:14 For we know that the Law is spiritual; but I was carnal, sold into the power of sin.

Romans 8:5-8, "For those who live according to the flesh, set their minds on the things of the flesh; but those who live according to the Spirit, set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against; (bitterly opposed to), Yahweh; for it his not subject to the Law of Yahweh, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are of the flesh cannot please Yahweh."

Romans 8:5-8 (ESV), "For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God."

Romans 3:28, "For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the Law."

Romans 3:31, "Are we then doing away with the Law through the faith? By no means! Rather, we establish the Law!"

Romans 6:1-2, "What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means!How can we who died to sin still live in it?"

Eph 2:14-16 is about the two hostilities Christ abolished on the cross
when he abolished the law in his flesh:

1) hostility between Jew and Gentile (V. 15), and
2) hostility between God and mankind (v. 16, Jews and Gentiles).

Both hostilities were the result of the law, not to the law.

Col 2:14 is about the hostility of the law to us, in its curse of death on our sin.

That hostility and curse was nailed to the cross and taken away (Col 2:14).

Paul presents three hostilities that are removed:
1) between Jews and Gentiles (Eph 2:15),
2) between God and mankind (Eph 2:16), and
3) the law to sinners (Col 2:14)

all either abolished on, or nailed to, the cross.

Paul presents no hostility of man to the law being removed on the cross in Eph 2:14-15; Col 2:14.

However, the law with its regulations was hostile to us, in its curse of death on our sin.

Sound like a blessing to me....

5 “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.

6“You shall not murder.

7 “You shall not commit adultery.

8 “You shall not steal.

9“You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

10 “You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's.”

Isayah 5:20, "Woe to those who call evil righteous, and righteous evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"

However, the NT word of God calls sin's power to kill, by the law, a curse
(Gal 3:10, 13; Ro 4:15, 7:10; 1Co 15:56; 2Co 3:7).

(Gal 3:10, 13; Ro 4:15, 7:10; 1Co 15:56; 2Co 3:7).

I think you should read this; submit to His love....
1 John 5:2-3 (ESV), By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome. "

(and dont say, His commeandment is to love, or that verse would read "By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his love. For this is the love of God, that we keep his love. And his love are not burdensome."

and Paul would be a liar, and I believe this verse it 100% true;

Romans 13:9, "For the commandments: You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not bring false testimony, You shall not covet, and all other commandments are briefly summed up in these Laws; namely: You must love your neighbor as yourself."

Does not get any clearer, but;

2 peter 3:15-17, "And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures. You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability."

Now im sure we can go ask 1,000,000,000 people "what is love" and get a different answer every time, but I say if we ask Yahweh "what is love" a 1,000,000,000 times, we will get the same answer every time....

Mattithyah 22:37-40, "Yahshua said to him: You must love Yahweh your Father with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might(Deut 6:5). This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself(Lev 19:18). On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

Mattithyah 24:12, "And because iniquity will abound, the love of the many will grow cold."

Don't know of anyone who disagrees with Christ's law (1Co 9:20-21) of love (Mt 22:37-39),

which has no curse attached.

try keeping that and breaking any of these, it is impossible:

Keeping Christ's law fulfills keeping all of God' law (Mt 22:40), without a curse attached.

But don't confuse agreeing with it to mean keeping it perfectly, as must be done with
the Mosaic law to avoid its curse (Gal 3:10).

So are you saying there is no penalty for wanton breakage of "Christ's Law"?

The blood of the Messiah is NO DOOR MAT, for Scripture says;

Hebrews 10:26-31, "For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. Those who rejected the Law given through Mosheh died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished, who has trampled the Son of Yahweh underfoot, and has counted the blood of the covenant (with which He was sanctified) an unholy thing, and who has insulted the Spirit of mercy? For we know Him Who has said: Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, says Yahweh. And again: Yahweh will judge His people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living Father."

I don't think any of the law was abolished for those that have not been born again but for those who have been born again are not under law but under Grace because in order to be accepted righteous before GOD we would have to do the law perfectly and only JESUS could fulfill the law perfectly and JESUS graced it to us through faith.

This is Scripturally impossible, He freed us from the "death penalty" of the Law, for where there is no Law there is no sin, and as we see;

Romans 5:13, "For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law."

1 Yahchanan (John) 3:4, "Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the Law: for sin is the transgression of the Law."

1 John 1:8-10, "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us."

Romans 2:12, "For as many as have sinned without the Law, will also perish without the Law, and as many as have sinned in the Law, will be judged by the Law."

That teaching of The Messiah set us free from the Creator's Instructions is A base of the mystery of iniquity;

2 Thess 2:6-12, "For the mystery of iniquity (secret initiation of lawlessness*) is already working, but the One restraining him will continue to restrain him, until he is made to appear in the midst. And then that lawless one will be revealed, whom Yahshua will remove with the breath of His mouth, and make powerless with the appearance of His coming-- Whose coming is according to the energy of Satan, who works with all power, and signs, and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of sin in those who are perishing, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason, Yahweh will send them strong delusion, that they would believe the deception, In order that all those may be judged as not having believed the truth, but as having delighted in sin."

I guess "not under Law" can mean anything, eye of the beholder kind of thing.

Messiah said this, "Therefore, everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, is like a wise man who built his house on the rock MT 7:24".... right after this verse;

12 pages and not one post stating what 1. The law is exactly and 2. What exactly in this law that is abolished.

I gave my view in both these matters.

These people's opposition to the Creator's Instruction was/is abolished:

Has heaven and earth passed away? I will give you a minute to look out your window.......

No? Still there? So according to HIM, not me, Him, nothing will pass from the Law. (the real Sacifice is complete, and the Pristhood has taken on it true form, as Yahshua is the High Priest now.)

When will heaven and earth pass? Does Scripture give us a hint? Thank Yah, it does;

Matt 5:18, "For truly I say to you; Unless heaven and earth passes away, one yodh--the smallest of the letters--will in no way pass from the Law, until all things are perfected."

"Unless heaven and earth passes away..the smallest of the letters--will in no way pass from the Law"

Revelation 21:1-2, "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no more sea. And I, Yahchanan, saw the holy city, Yahweh Shammah, coming down from Yahweh out of heaven, prepared as brides adorned for their husbands. And I heard a great voice out of heaven, saying: Behold, the tabernacle of Yahweh is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they will be His people, and Yahweh Himself will be with them, and be their Father.

I gave my view in both these matters.
This does not answer the question. What exactly IS the "law"?

Selling loose untaxed cigarettes are against the "law" as well, so can all of the "law" be listed? Then out of the complete list of God's law, can we then list exactly what was abolished out of it?
