dudes will look at you alot and try to get close to you...girls would also look but just quick but constant glances and will get really shy if you get close to them. girls also will try to spend some time with you

Two of the guys I have cared for most in my life were guys who told me off when I didn't pay them the attention they thought they were due in a not very subtle kinda way (one actually flipped me off). I thought it was hysterical, started laughing and I will probably love him forever. :) I love it when a guy gives me that "I will not be taking any crap from you young lady" attitude. im just like that. The guys i have liked the most were the ones that told me basically just that... Im not gonna take any crap from you..

For someone like me... I would have to say, they be somewhat outgoing, but not crazy or threatening. :p I kinda like hanging with people who tend to bring me out of my introvertedness. I tend to thrive on on their positive energy and use that to to be a little more open. It is the opposite that dosen't seem to work out... If I met someone shy and quiet, then I'm going to be shy and quiet as well. Things tend get a little awkward. :p But all in all, it's take time for others to get to know me.

I'd want her to ask me out to dinner or a movie or a concert or something. Its a clear sign when the person wants to spend some nice time with you. Just make sure she doesn't mean with her and her three best friends!

That is not acceptable. Mainly because Im still not totally wide awake that early in the morning and it would never cross my mind until like the last 5-10 minutes that there were perhaps ulterior motives to you wanting to sit there. Its pretty bad, but I dont take hints well. You should probably just come out and say something to my face.

What kind of ulterior motives can one have about sitting next to someone at church? I'm drawing a blank here.

The guy I'm with had been throwing hints for months. I would embarass him with it, trying to get him to stop flirting. It sometimes worked. But he eventually came out and told me how he felt and that he wanted to pursue courtship. :D
Honesty is the best policy (at least with Thims and I).

I'm just not that forward :) But I'm guessing something like, "Hey handsome! Is this seat taken? Mind if I sit here until you wake up?" Might be better? haha

In all honesty, Nuke, you are one of the guys in these threads that I admire because you are who you are, you know what you like and what you don't and you just say it in a simple way that is clearly never intended to offend. You are a gentleman. I respect that. I know I'm usually picking on ya so I wanted to take a moment to actually say something nice. haha :)

You might notice that I actually didn't reply to your original post on what works for me.
Okay...so nachos work for me. Beyond that? Honesty and straightforwardnessessess. I've got a super-thick skull, so subtle hints don't make it to my brain. Often, for that matter, direct requests don't make it there either. The only thing that gets through to me on a semi-regular basis is honest, straightforward communication. And nachos.
