To the OP:
It's crazy how much he doesn't care for you. Stand your ground when he gives you an ultimatum. Keep God's Word close to heart!

Are you talking about me? I am not a troll. There was a thread that asked a question, people (including myself) gave answers. If my answer doesn't agree with yours then that isn't a big deal. Someone asked for advice, so I gave mine. There is nothing saying mine is better or should be followed, it is just there.

So, I am single(again), sometimes it's lonely, other times, I love it. I was raised to believe no sex before marriage. I mean it was drilled into my head, along with drinking and smoking(I've never been tempted with those though:).)
This guy who has been an off/on thing for awhile. He as 2 kids, but doesn't want to commit to anyone. But he offers so much temptation and isn't afraid to say it. Sometimes, he will text me these dirty messages and I have to just blush and ignore them. But oh my heavens, its getting hard.

Has anyone been in those situations, where you really want to give in, but you don't. How on earth do you get through them? I have to turn my phone off and pull out my scriptures sometimes. How do I just tell him to back off without ruining a friendship(during the off times)?

I think he doesn't want to commit because he has two kids he's been through the whole marriage thing now he just want "free milk" without all the strings attached.

Any advice would be much appreciated. :)

I am going to reiterate what several people have already said. Run from this guy as fast as you can. First and foremost, sexual sin is the only one that scripture tell us clearly to flee instead of resist, presumably because God knows this is the one sin we are going to be most prone to fall into "accidentally." I think it's pretty obvious that this guy is just looking for a whirl in the sack and nothing else. Chances are that when as you put it "the off times" come around, he's found someone else to satisfy that desire "without the strings attached." Obviously he has no respect for you or your convictions or he wouldn't bring it up all. I know all too many men like this and all they do is leave a trail of broken hearts and wounded women in their wake.

All good advise, apart from one. If you resist the devil he will flee. Not saying that the guy is the devil lol but the enemy can bring people from the world to tempt you into sin. As Jesus said to Peter, "Get behind me satan". Obviously Peter was not satan but the the devil had planted a seed of sin into Peters mind, so Jesus resisted the temptation to not die on the cross, and as a result, the devil fled. So I say again, "Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you" James 4:7.

Some more food for thought to the OP. Chances are if this guy is being so brazen, it's highly likely that he has spent quite a bit of time developing a mental picture of you doing whatever it is he's suggesting in those text messages.

You're on a Christian site, where a woman is asking Christians for Christian advice, and you, as a non-Christian are telling her to do the opposite of what Christians teach. Its not rocket science as to what the problem is with your advice. Either you're a troll, or you're not too bright.

If it is consensual and no-one is getting hurt then I say go for it. If you are both happy with the situation and feel it is right then go ahead and do what feels natural. Sex is enjoyable, fun, and (if you do it properly) safe. Good luck in whatever you choose.

Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?"
Genesis 3:4 "You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman.
Genesis 3:13 Then the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."

For me, I know the right answer would clearly be to cut that person out of my life completely.

That's someone trying to come between you and God...whether they realize it or not. That's what they're doing. It can only be done if YOU allow it though. You are allowing it now.

If you tell him to stop, he might...for a while. Chances are though, he'll get right back to where he was. Perhaps he'll even catch you in an even weaker moment if you stay in contact with him. It only takes once, right?
As the old saying goes, "If you wave your hand over the fire enough, you're going to get burned."

FLEE.

If every post you've made on a Christian based website is related to trying to tell people some form of sexual sin is actually okay....you might be a troll.

Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.
1 Corinthians 6:18

• FLEE (verb)
Meaning:
Run away quickly

Hypernyms (to "flee" is one way to...):
break away; bunk; escape; fly the coop; head for the hills; hightail it; lam; run; run away; scarper; scat; take to the woods; turn tail (flee; take to one's heels; cut and run)

Troponyms (each of the following is one way to "flee"):
break (make a rupture in the ranks of the enemy or one's own by quitting or fleeing)
stampede (run away in a stampede)
abscond; absquatulate; bolt; decamp; go off; make off; run off (run away; usually includes taking something or somebody along)
elope; run off (run away secretly with one's beloved)
break loose; escape; get away (run away from confinement)
high-tail (retreat at full speed)
defect; desert (desert (a cause, a country or an army), often in order to join the opposing cause, country, or army)

I hope i made my point very clear :D

Wow, thank you everyone. Your comments made me laugh and sorta cry a little. I know I'm a daughter of God but sometimes I have to be reminded.
I had to copy and paste my favorite parts so I could print them off and hang them somewhere that I can see them every day.

I knew that I could count on everyone here, that's why I love this website! :)

I have decided that if this guy texts me or sends me facebook messages, I'm simply going just ignore them. I do see him at work once in awhile. I'm just not going to put up with it. No more. Nada!!!!! He's nothing more than an acquaintance.

To the "troll" thanks for your advice, but I just can't give into sex before marriage. It might be enjoyable and all, but I'd also have that guilt on my conscience. And when I do get married, I'd feel guilty for not being everything I should be. Thanks though! :)

God will keep you strong, gardenhopper, stay in Him, faithful, and no temptation will be trying to overtake you except that which is common to man, and, with that temptation of the Devil at you, God is in control and will always provide a way out :) 2 cor 10:13

Here is,why you want to stay with Him, walking, and, please, read Galatians 5: 14-23 (v.16 key verse) to understand
how to resist the temptations of the flesh. :)

Ephesians 5:5 ESV

For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.

Hebrews 13:4

Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God

The devil can not tempt you more than you can handle. God will always give you ways to resist. The most powerful way to resist is to keep you focus completely on God, because then you can walk on the waters of sin but not fall into it as peter did. Also there is this story that can help.

There was this man who was about to hire a driver to drive him down a very dangerous road. He asked three drivers and to all three he asked how skilled a driver they were and how close they could get to the edge of the cliff without falling in. The first driver said "the wheel of my car can go on the edge without falling down the cliff". The second driver said "I can get my wheel about 2 foot away from the edge without falling down the cliff". The third driver said "I would avoid this dangerous road and go down a safer one that I know about". The person chose the third driver.

Moral of the story, don't even put yourself in the way of temptation in the first place. If you see it, deal with it there and then before it takes root. If you play with fire coals, you will get burnt.

totally just get out of that situation its going to be hard but if its a temptation for you then you have to go.
why would you want to be with someone that one is clearly not a christian with the dirty text messages and also he doesnt want to be in any sort of relationship either ...

youll need to say something to him that what he is doing is not right and he needs to stop its going to be super hard but if its becoming a problem for you like it is then you really have to do it or you might find yourself in a place you dont want to be

also pray to God to help you through this and how to deal with him and continue your readings in the scriptures

LOL Aussieguy :) Sorry

Bologna is a lunchmeat we eat here in the States. A sausage thing.

It's also an expression we use. When someone says something really stupid that doesn't require a logical response, we usually just say, "That's a bunch of baloney" (also called bologna). :)

Here's a commercial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmPRHJd3uHI :)

:) PRAY THE LORDS PRAYER "OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN HALLOWED BY THY NAME, THE OTHER VERSES AND THE ONE " LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION, AND DELIVER US FROM EVIL". I LOVE TO PRAY THIS, AND IT WILL PREVENT THE BAIT SOMETIMES, REMEMBER THE 9 FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT, ONE OF WHICH IS "SELF CONTROL" PRAYING ALWAY" JESUS SAID, WATCH AND PRAY, LEAST YE FALL INTO TEMPTAITON". :)
