I'm at my parents house for the weekend, because, let's be honest - I'm burnt out from adulting and need a break from it. ;)

My Mom made me my favorite soup, since it has been a MINUTE since I visited last.

I think this is similar to Yellow Split Pea Soup. And it is DELICIOUS. (And, I hate peas).

I hate peas too so I probably wouldn’t try it. I don’t eat anything that touches peas too.

well I attempted (rather successfully) making Swedish meatballs (no Swedes were harmed in the making of said meatballs). It was only after I ate the first bowl that I realized I totally forgot to put the mushrooms in (which isn't necessarily traditional, but mushrooms make most things better)

I agree, mushrooms make everything better.

Did you get a good picture, or nah?

Children had free school lunch today for the first time
It was chicken pasta with peas, a yoghurt and a banana.

I asked them if they liked it and they were kind of meh.
This is not the reaction theyd have with pizza.

I think its a big thing to provide over 350 children with lunch everyday. I wouldnt know how to go about cooking for that many. It exhausted me just to do sausages for our fun day.

a thought....I have never seen peas used as a pizza topping....

All these foods sound amazing. I need to cook something. I've been a bit lazy in my cooking these past few weeks.
