Yes, please post the recipe! :)

I made a new kind of bbq chicken wings today.
Brined the wings in apple juice, apple cider vinigar, dried mango powder, and salt overnight.
The bbq sauce was made with crabapple jelly and a few other yummies and the sauce is amazing. :)
Hopefully the people I made it for will enjoy them, as I havnt tasted them myself yet, as Im afraid I might not be able to stop with just one and there will be none left for them. :p:)
But if they are well liked Ill post the whole recipe.

And mailmandan, please post the potatoe recipe, and those ribs look delicious!

Also, Hi psychomom! Missed you! :)

God bless

JL and tourist, do you have a favorite side or bread recipe to round out my menu? :)
~~or~~ dessert? (life is short, eat it first?)

hehehehe....:)

i still think of them as the Baltimore Colts. (slow learner...please don't hurt me ;))

family won't eat pineapple, save the youngest.
(i know, it's crazy)

mom used to make ginger peachy. (where do we get the names for this stuff? lol)
same principle...melt butter, sprinkle on brown sugar, lay peaches on the sugar,
top with gingerbread cake batter, serve warm with oodles of fresh whipped cream. :)

i wonder if they'd eat that?

is Indiana the land of taxes? i thought it was NY.

Maby the names just fall in ones lap?
I made an apple, peach liquer three yeas ago, with cinamon, orange peel and other spices , its about 100 proof and is for colds and flu.
I call it original sin.
If it doesnt cure the cold, it certainly removes the sting of it :)

The wings were a hit, good thing I didnt try any, as I would have eaten them. :)
As to the recipe, I'm going from memory as I often just wing it! Hehehe!

First, brine the wings over night in,... one quart of apple juice, 1 cup apple cyder vinegar, and 2 Tblspoons sea salt.
next day, drain, and season the wings with a dusting of onion powder, chili powder, paprika, and mango powder if you have it. set wings in oven at about 325 till they begin to brown nicely.
Sauce, in a sauce pan combine, one bottle of your fave bbq sauce,
one 8 ounce jar of apple jelly,( if you cannot find apple jelly, grape will work as a substitute)
2 Tblspoons of mustard,
1/2 cup catsup,
1/4 cup apple cyder vinegar,
small pinch of cinamon
One teaspoon minced garlic
just a dab, (like a tenth of a teaspoon) of chinese garlic chili sauce, more if you like spicy, less if you dont, but be careful, as chinese chili garlic sauce can be very potent.
( the hotter the sauce, add more jelly, as it makes it so one can eat a hotter sauce, if there is more jelly) :)
1/2 teaspoon of liquid smoke.
And a half of cup of compacted brown surgar, or honey, your choice.
Heat the sauce to bubbling , stirring regularly, then evenly pour over chicken wings when they are ready,( lightly browned)
Now you can just let the sauce finish in cooking the wings, but I like to turn the broiler on in the last few minutes to carmalize the bbq sause on the wings, but watch carefully so not to burn, and dont stir too often so not to break up the wings.
I usually just remove the wings into a crock pot as they carmalize, letting the rest glaze and so on.

Oh almost forgot, I made about 60 wings with this, it will handle more wings if needed. :)

Anyway, I hope I remembered everything, feel free to add a fave spice you like also, as all always improves any recipe. :)

God bless
pickles

thanks, pickles! :)

hoping Dan will drop by with his potato recipe, too.
but i'll have to try the wings next weekend when the horrible children are here.
wiht me doing the cooking, you have to hope it'll fly. (haha)

This looks like game day food.....Go COLTS!!!!!!

Word out to Psychomom....Thanks for the sympathy note for my PATHETIC playing Colts....7 to a basketball score in football....snooze-fest!!! They played so good the week before I don't know what happened to the Hoosier Can Do attitude....

Quite obvious that their getup and go got up and went I don't know where... Yes, I can bad mouth them I'm from Indiana and not being a real football enthusiast even I know a crummy game when I see one and I don't even know all the plays or what they mean or even what they are called.

Blond has winning solution for the Super Bowl Game - Blond is rooting for the winning team - I don't care what their name is my team will WIN!!!! Problem Solved......

...and my team will lose.

when you live in NY and have created a monster...

falling in love with basketball in the late '80s and dragging everyone in your
one TV family into it...you inevitably wind up with Knicks fans for children.
(my bad...but they were good back then, at least)

nowadays we ask each other, what time are the Knicks losing tonight?
after the Seattle Green Bay game yesterday, when SS fans were leaving due to seeming hopelessness...
and then the Hawks did the amazing...Mark said he was going to send a copy of the game to the Knicks with a note saying, this is how it's done! lol

(somehow, i'm not sure it'll help... :) )

Oh we here do love our hawks, after all a great team and one always has wings. :)
and I knew they would win, even if there were a few doubters who left befor the amazing finish.
My hubby was one of them, going outside to work on his truck, I just told him he needed a little faith. :)
What a finish, it was trully worth the tense wait! :)
Actually, I predict they will win this years superbowl and next years as well.
Yup, you heard it here first, three year superbowl win!!!
My hubby says Im nuts, but time will tell. :)
Now onto the superbowl, and yes, with a team called seahawks, one must serve wings. :)

God bless

in an effort to refill Misc page 1 with something other than what currently occupies it,

tonight i was at a total loss as to what's cooking. husband brought home boneless chicken,
but i didn't know what to do with it, nor did i have fresh stuff (shopping needed!).

so i looked in the pantry and pulled out a jar of salsa and a can of peaches.
drained the salsa, threw it in a bowl, diced in some peaches, and poured it over
the chicken. (also added a little tobasco and a pinch of cloves for idk why)

baked it and it was actually not bad! looking for improvements...
any suggestions? :)

I did some Mac 'n' Cheese Fiesta!

oh so good............ :)

the Kraft Delux Mac 'n' Chesses stuff with the creamy cheese in the packet.........and a can of Rotel Mild..........

If you want Chicken Fiesta instead............just boil a boneless/skinless chicken breast and dice up to mix in with the Mac 'n' Cheese.............more than one box............use more chicken
