So many times when posting we can go off on a tangent of food... So I thought I'd give us a food thread.....

In our home tonight we will be having chicken and dumplings, asparagus and peach cobbler for desert..... drooling yet?

So What's for dinner at your place?

DO NOT check this thread first thing in the morning before eating

It was a super nice day! On a whim we packed the picnic basket with various random items, walked down to the park and ate picnic style. Ham/cheese sandwiches with chips and various other lunch/snack items.

So for you "dinner" is supper? Like, "Breakfast, lunch and dinner"?

I ask because "dinner" seems to mean different things to different people. For us it's supper but for most people it's lunch.

If you're asking what's for supper, nothing. I'm not big on supper. I flat-out kill it at breakfast though. Show me an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet and I'll show you a restaurant that's about to lose money.

You are somewhat right...according to the American Heritage Dictionary..
"Supper is a light evening meal when dinner is taken at midday."

They ain't polled us down here in southwest Tennessee.

That's alright. Nobody cares what we think, but we don't care if they care as long as they leave us alone, so it all balances out. =^.^=

I'm a mixed up person when it comes to the name of eating times. I was born in Muncie, Indiana, lived my first married life in Kentucky then single for most of my Florida living with exception to marrying Jerry for 6 years of our married life and now as you know living in Tennessee.... With another three years in Tennessee part of my young life and one more year in Tennessee for my Junior year of High School....

So I got Yankee meal times, southern meal times and very south meal times in my life span so you can call it anything but you can tell me what you are having for your dinner too cause I'm supposin that it's lunch for you....lol

The meatloaf was not vegan at all. It just finish cooking in the oven. Smells yummy too. Time to eat (supper or dinner).

Yup, that's what mom used to do with hamburger - add oats and egg to make it cook up nice and juicy.
