Milk at my mom’s aldi is like $1.82 or something! I wish there was one close to me.
There are several close by so I might check it out just to compare prices and selection. Many different grocery chains in Florida but my favorite is Publix where "shopping is a pleasure". I do like Costco but not to thrilled about purchasing everything in bulk. We buy a lot of meat and fish there and freeze it. Bought this box of Cheerios once that weighed 5 lbs. After a pound or two I had to pitch it as it was getting stale. Juice is a good thing and so is bottled water. I enjoy Perrier 'cause it's fizzy. Coffee in bulk works for me too.

I have never been to a Publix here...I am not sure they have any. HEB is the alpha supermarket in my neck of the woods if you don’t do Walmart.

Theres a dish at Olive Garden that has mussells clams fish shrip etc in a soup kinda thing..very good! Especially with warm italian bread and crisp side salad :)
I love Olive Garden especially the bread sticks and salad. We had them cater our last Christmas party with lasagna. It was totally yummy and the price was reasonable. Had to feed 30 people.

Publix is strictly a employee-owned Florida chain but it is the largest grocer in the state except for Walmart. Walmart is a hassle because the service is poor, very few cashiers, limited selection and not the best produce selection. Hard to beat their price though but try to avoid when possible as it is too much of a hassle.

@calibob I wish I lived closer to the Gulf of Mx., I did when I was a kid. But, I love going down to Port Aransas when I have a chance...the seafood is so fresh!
When I was younger [in my 20s] We used to call tye whole gulf the Mexican ocean. Now Mexico only has 2 coasts and Texas 1 and if you were from Del Rio you'd be talkin' bout steak or DFW, slow cooked bar-b-que. Er, I've been to Texas too.

going a little south here on my diet here going for some baby back RIBS! for lunch.
