See if Aimee gets this movie quote...

"I think Freud's obsession with sex probably has a great deal to do with the fact that he never gets any"

hint: "never repress anything"

I had to Google the quote. I've never heard of that movie! I wonder if Netflix has it...

"No, I don't think I will kiss you, although you need kissing, and badly. That's what's wrong with you. You should be kissed and often, and by someone who knows how."

Wow. I don't know the show this is from, but I'm very much hoping someone will write it as an episode of my own life, and soon!! :D (Except, of course, that it's the right guy saying it and he does indeed, decide to go ahead with the smooching!!) ;)

Nope. Rhett Butler (my favorite Southern character) says it to Scarlett in the scene where he proposes. It's one of my favorites in the movie.

Three quotes from three movies. Bonus points for anyone who figures out what connects the three.

Movie #1:

"It's 11:59 on Radio Free America; this is Uncle Sam, with music, and the truth until dawn. Right now I've got a few words for some of our brothers and sisters in the occupied zone: "the chair is against the wall, the chair is against the wall", "John has a long mustache, John has a long mustache". It's twelve o'clock, American, another day closer to victory. And for all of you out there, on, or behind the line, this is your song."
[the Battle Hymn of the Republic begins to play]

Movie #2:
Emmett: It ain't the money ya understand, but if I don't charge ya somethin' the Presbyterians around here are likely to pray for my ruination. How does a hundred dollars a month strike ya?
Dalton: Fine.
Emmett: Can ya afford that much?
Dalton: If it keeps you in the good graces of the church.
Emmett: Ain't it peculiar how money seems to do that very thing?

Movie #3:
Sorry for the interruption, folks, but I always do the last dance of the season. This year somebody told me not to. So I'm gonna do my kind of dancin' with a great partner, who's not only a terrific dancer, but somebody... who's taught me... that there are people willing to stand up for other people no matter what it costs them. Somebody who's taught me about the kind of person I wanna be. Miss Frances Houseman.

Another one (from a movie this time):

Mr. Keating: We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for. To quote from Whitman, "O me! O life!... of the questions of these recurring; of the endless trains of the faithless... of cities filled with the foolish; what good amid these, O me, O life?" Answer. That you are here - that life exists, and identity; that the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. That the powerful play *goes on* and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?

Doh. How dare you suggest someone that Eats Cats!
Oh, how could I forget that furry little guy eats cats. Oops. Grr

Nuke, Movie number 1: Good Morning Vietnam, connection to all three movies, Robin Williams.

You like Patrick Swayze in a way that might be unhealthy, but its Red Dawn, Roadhouse, and Dirty Dancing.

Thomas: "I'm not foul Mr. Carson. I'm not the same as you, but I'm not foul." (tv show)

Downton Abbey! Also, side note, I used to think it was "Downtown" Abbey. :P

I can't think of a deep quote from a movie/TV show right now, but I do have a quote from one of my favorite movies:

"Thanks for nothing, you useless reptile."

You are correct, Lady Rachel. :D I have to confess, I couldn't remember any quotes from my favorite shows either so I used google to find a good one. :)

The Death Poet Society?...
My question: Mr. Potter: You're worth more dead than alive! (An old movie)

"I knew it the first time I saw her. It was like coming home, only to no home I'd ever known. I was just taking her hand to help her out of a car and I knew. It was...magic."

I love this movie!
