Funny, I bought this treadmill and placed it right next to my bed. The idea is that as soon as I wake up, the first thought would be running / walking. That was five months ago and I still have yet to use it in the morning because as soon as I wake up, I snooze my alarm (on my days off).
On work days, however, I spring out of bed and run to the bathroom before I get tempted to snooze my alarm. I put on my "robot mode" and psych myself to "walk walk walk" to the bathroom.
On Sabbath days, I get up at noon...

Whats the first thing you do in the morning? (not a trick question) Just thought it could be an interesting topic. It could mean after coffee or afterter brushing your teeth or before, doesn't matter... answer however u wish!
Drive my daughter to the school bus (quarter of a mile driveway in our apartment complex). Then maybe I'll watch a little of the news and/or the Today show, while playing on my phone (mostly bubble cloud- up to level 63 lol) then I finish sleeping before babysitting my grandkids. Then get up and have breakfast before they arrive. I never get enough sleep cause I’m up most the night on here trying to share God’s truth.

I pop out of bed, run to the bathroom and use the facilities and wash my hands and face. On my way back to my room I turn on the coffee maker and return a good morning text from my beau and get ready for the day and head out the door

Go to the bathroom...I drink a lot of water lol. I don't like mornings very much. Definitely more of a night owl.

Turn off my alarm and with eyes closed ...thanking the LORD for another day ❤ Go to the bathroom rinse my face and my mouth.. then drink 2 glasses of warm lemon water And then the most important thing everyday...get my phone and call my sister for our early morning prayer

When we get up the first thing should be thanking JESUS FOR EVERYTHING. GETTING ON OUR KNEES AND THEN WE got to remember to read Gods Precious Word and spend time with HIm not go on our phones, computers, this site. That is not right. JESUS SHOULD BE FIRST. wow i am shocked in the answers. I want to be close to Jesus and ask Him what HE wants me to do. Come on guys our priorties need to change. DO we really love JESUS????????
My apologies for being human. I guess I just don't have the super spiritual advantages you have. When I was born there was no Heavenly Choir singing from the clouds, I don't have an angel bringing me the paper and a cup of coffee every morning...
On the upside, I am also not burdened with a strong desire to castigate everybody who is not super spiritual all the time.

Well, I must admit... it's struggle with swinging my feet out of the bed... and the fight to keep my eyes open... Probably every morning is like that lol

For me it depends what time you call morning.
It usually starts with me waking up around 5am trying to work out if I remembered to put
the bins out, then realising it’s not bin day today. So I go back to sleep.
Then 5.30am I need the bathroom.
Then 6am the central heating is just starting to kick in and it wakes me up.
6.30am the alarm goes off and snooze gets pressed a few times.
Maybe about 6.45 I fall out of bed wondering why I feel like I haven’t slept all night.

Thankful for HIS preserving n protection during all night, thankful for new day HIS gives asking HIS guide, protection, strength and wiadom to face the ppl around n face the live and giving all i hv, my live n ppl i care about to HIS loving hands amen.

My pastor used to say this, even brushing my teeth is an act of worship if I know I’m loved by Him and therefore don’t have to prove anything.
Lol, to say something is not right for someone is really not our call. Remember Peter, “What’s it to you? You follow me” was what Jesus said.

i am just saying what did JESUS do. He prayed everyone morning in solitude and all day giving His Father glory. If He did not do that He would have sinned. We have to look at Jesus first He is the one who gave us breath not coffee. We need to go to the one who did it all for us. Thats why Jesus said many wont find the narrow gate because the narrow gate is Jesus the whole way nothing else.
I... I don't know what to say without going deeper and derailing this thread. Okay, how about this, you do that and see how far you'll go. Don't be disappointed if you can never attain the kind of standard you're putting yourself and others under. Only then will you see why you needed Jesus in the first place.

But yeah, my pastor gotta have half a pot of coffee to get going in the morning. He even put a coffee maker in his office at church, I guess so he wouldn't have to go all the way to the fellowship hall.
