So I got into an argument on FB with a friend of mine and her husband. Seems you can't say anything these days without someone getting up in your face and just being nasty. And Im wondering why this is. They are both Christians and I was pointing out a fact about a movie that was inappropriate for kids. They said the movie was good and I thought perhaps they hadn't seen that part.So I told them it wasn't appropriate for kids, without coming right out and saying why. Well she and her husband both jumped me. So my sister chimed in and backed me up. Then my friends husband, who I dont know, called us prudes basically and judgmental. And he doesn't even know us! And all I was doing was pointing out why the movie was not for kids. My question is,what in the world is wrong with people?! I don't get it.

You shouldn't be so judgemental.

Now, lets be clear, it's quite alright if I judge you for judging.

Seriously,
people will declare you are judgemental,
and then judge you for it.

I always make the extra effort to point out the irony to them.

It sounds like the same disorder that afflicts most SJW's: the tendency to criticize others freely, and to react unreasonably, incoherently, and even violently if anyone returns criticism.

Please don't make fun of the SJWs...
it will only make them cry.
Then when they're crying, and I say I don't care....
everybody will think I'm a horrible person.

Look at the rest of the country. Christians having meltdowns because Starbucks used the "wrong" coffee cup design.
A few corrupt police, or ones that make mistakes and people use that as justification to assassinate cops.
College students needing "safe spaces" so they won't be triggered by a different opinion.
And on and on. I'm surprised that you're surprised.

Yes,I understand all that, but when its someone you know its different. You don't think they're going to attack you over nothing. People here I don't know personally, they don't know me. But when its people you know and they flare up so fast and get nasty, yeah,I find that a little surprising.

It says it's a TV series? More than 10 episodes. Classification U. Did you watch them back to back like a movie? Must have been good if you watched all of them!

I always got the impression you are quite a sensitive person.

The problem with people is sin!
And not all Christians are overcomers denying the flesh.
Walking in the Spirit is not upheld by all.
Some Christians do not take the scriptures seriously - to use pirate talk
they are more like guidelines than rules of conduct.

Some ministries foolishly preach saved by grace and OSAS and
therefore allow lazy Christianity to flourish. [SUB][SUP]

Ive watched the original movie which was called Anne of Green Gables. The Netflix one called Anne with an E my sister watched and told me about it.It contains a couple of scenes not appropriate for kids. I stated this to my friend on FB,who was saying it was a great movie, and it escalated quickly from there.

Perhaps so. But what people say here I take with a grain of salt because we don't know each other. We're all just throwing opinions and a lot of words at each other. But a personal friend is different.

15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace?
God forbid.
16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey,
his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death,
or of obedience unto righteousness?
17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin,
but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which
was delivered you.
18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants
of righteousness.
Romans 6:
