Does disobedience negate salvation?
Depends what you're being disobedient to. If you're talking about Mark 16:15-16 specifically, and you choose to ignore it, then absolutely it negates salvation. How can it not?? Read the words. "Believeth and is baptized". Belief is conditioned by baptism and likewise baptism is conditioned by befief; they are inextricably linked together, so done by the conjunction "and". They are both required in order to be saved. All other scripture subsequent to this throughout the Bible clearly supports this.

Really? All scripture? Hardly.
Who builds the church?

All scripture relating to salvation. It's all consistent. Who builds the church means what??
You enjoy the words of Jesus. Who did He say would build His church?

What is your point?
I'll come to it if you answer. I have a few questions. I want to make the point from Jesus words since you told me not proceeding according to His words is perilous.

The word of God which is and should be our only guide. Trusting in Jesus is following and trusting in what he said to do. The below scripture in Jesus own words are pretty clear.

Mark 16:15-16

15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Belief + baptism = salvation
Everyone who believes is immersed/baptized into Christ by the Holy Spirit.

“In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭13‬ ‭ESV‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/59/eph.1.13.ESV

This is how 1 John 5:1 can be true. Everyone who believes has been born of God. It is presented as having already happened.

“Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized (immersed) into Christ Jesus were baptized (immersed) into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism (immersion) into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. For one who has died has been set free from sin. Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God. So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6‬:‭3‬-‭11‬ ‭ESV‬‬. Modified by adding immersed and immersion.

Mark 16:16 isn’t contradictory to this.

Mat 16:18

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

And Acts 2:38-47 tells you how, the process by which Jesus accomplishes building his church. Jesus adds you to the church upon being baptized into Christ as did the Jews at Pentecost. There are no points to be made further by you or anyone: the scriptures speak for themselves. You can keep your further comments trying to refute this to yourself. I'm not interested in them.

Rom 6:3-11

3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Jesus himself is the rock, the chief cornerstone as referenced elsewhere.
He doesn't refer to Himself in the passage. To what does He refer? Why is Peter blessed?

You've drifted way off the original conversation. But Christ is the rock, the chief cornerstone.

Sure, in those passages. But not in the one we are considering. And I'll get back to the original conversation when you start answering the questions I ask, not the ones you think I'm asking.

So...people save themselves. So Ephesians 2:8 should say...by ourselves we save ourselves through baptism and repentance?
Peter's words, not mine. "And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls." (Acts 2:41)

There is no contradiction with the Ephesians verse. The group was saved through faith. They believed the message, repented, and submitted to being baptized.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8

All you had to do was answer a few questions and the scripture itself would make things plain. You chose to answer outside the passage I was asking about.

No baptism in Ephesians 2:8. Any works spoken against in verse 9. Works aren't mentioned until verse 10, and only subsequent to salvation.
I have no doubt they repented and were baptized. But not before they were saved.
You have to put that in. And because you don't see the work of God in Acts 2:37, you leave salvation as a series of decisions by men.
BTW, I always enjoy when someone tells me they are using scripture. Why didn't I think of that?

Scripture does reveal that God is the pursuer of mankind. However, it is up to man whether to accept or reject God's drawing. As stated previously, Jesus said unless a man repents he will perish. As such, the group would have perished had they refused to repent and be baptized. Their obedience to baptism was proof of their decision to do an about face and follow the Lord.

What caused the about face? Romans 3 starting with verse 10 gives a rather scathing description of the natural man. How does someone in that estate turn to God?

The Jews that were not intentionally "blinded" heard and chose to respond to the gospel message. Their actions was proof that faith came as a result of hearing the word of God; they believed what they were told. (Acts 2:37-41)

Consider that understanding predestination scriptures requires rightly dividing the word of truth. Paul makes reference to the fact that some Jews, were intentionally blinded in order that all of humanity would have the opportunity to be saved. See a portion of Paul's comments relative to this in Romans 11 below. Many Jews will remain blind until the time of the Gentiles is fulfilled.

Paul stated whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. This applies to Gentiles, and Jews who were not intentionally "blinded." Paul makes the point that obedience to the gospel is the result of faith produced by hearing the word of God:

"For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God..." Rom 10:12-17

Note Paul's comments specific to the Jews:
Rom 11:7-11
What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded

8 (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear unto this day.

9 And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumbling block, and a recompence unto them:

10 Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.

11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.

12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?

13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:

14 If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.

15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?"
