I do not believe that a translation from the copies of the original Greek manuscripts into English by the KJV scholars was a miracle whereby the English text of the KJV became the new original manuscripts and replaced the Greek manuscripts. No I do not. And who would?
That‘s too bad

I think you are very ignorant of the history of the NIV and how all endorses it. A huge number of modern scholars love it for it's faithfulness to the original languages. I used to not like it because I was so used to the KJV but the more I learn about the challenges of translation from Greek to English the more I appreciate the NIV.

It is not a black and white issue.
Is the NIV a faithful witness? Does it lie?

My understanding is that this version is the most popular in denominations today. Plus,
Rupert Murdoch is the owner of Zondervan Publishing who prints the NIV. He then receives
$1 from every sale, And he also owns a pornography Publishing establishment.

Should not these denominations be fighting this, instead of supporting it?

Just wondering...
So should we boycott Biblehub also because they include the NIV?

Does the KJV with candlesticks? It is not a lie. It is called translating.

You might also be interested to learn something about candles and when and where they were first invented. As usual, many are misinformed. See this interesting article about the history of candle making here -

http://newportrichey.patch.com/groups/robie-waterworths-blog/p/bp--when-were-candles-invented

The “candlestick” was not the actual candle itself, but was the stand that was composed of 7 branches, a shaft, knops and bowls in which was placed an oil that burned and was referred to as a “lamp”. Obviously we are not referring to “electrical” lamps, but rather the extended meaning of both “lamps” and “candles” which is simply any kind of artificial light.

There is truth to be learned in the following scripture. Either the KJV is lying or the NIV. Which version cannot be trusted?

Luke 10:1..Did the Lord appoint and send out seventy or seventy-two?

KJV - After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.

NIV - After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go.

Don't you know that the answer is not found by simply deciding based on what you think is the right one but by examining the discussion documented about what the manuscripts say.

Google it. Read. Learn.

No I'm saying that if a translation is corrupt that would be why . The bias of the Esv translators is a good example. Surely its no coincidence that its the Calvinists favourite?
What bias of the ESV translators? Are you implying that the KJV translators had no bias whatsoever?

We should note that until the coming of Christ there was only one Tanakh (Hebrew Bible).
Yet the disciples and even Jesus Himself quoted from the Greek Septuagint.

As to modern versions, if you start with a corrupted root, you end up with corrupted fruit. But some people hoard the rotten apples, and throw away the good ones.[/QUOTE]
You keep making assertions of corruption, without evidence. Such assertions are empty and meaningless.

Proverbs 14:5 A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.
This is a tired and often-refuted line of reasoning. That you keep using it testifies of your resistance to learning.
