Ok point blank here... did Satan inspire the KJV translators to translate pnuema Holy Ghost 90 times and Holy Spirit 7 times? Or was it God or was it the KJV translators were that smart?

Why do you think that it is so smart and impossible for a man to do?

Both, I'm smart enough to know Sririt means Spirit. I'm also smart enough to know grieue means grieve, and vnto means unto. Hopefully you are too. :)

can we be sure it's a misspelling?

maybe God directed them to write sririt because the letters have a special meaning, or it affects other number patterns.

If that were true there would be two witnesses to it. :)

I don't know... another possibility is chance...

if we look for patterns long enough, we will find them.

I don't think they were smart enough to do it but that's just my opinion... maybe they could.

But I fail to see the "smart" part. Why is it so smart to (purposely or not) translate some word 7x the same way?

Again 16th century Elizabethan English is NOT the word of God. They use rubbish because it is aesthetically more pleasing..lol

What about this one in the KJV. Modern translations have cleaned that verse up a bit.

2 Kings 18:27 (KJV)
[SUP]27 [/SUP] But Rabshakeh said unto them, Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men which sit on the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?

In some circles in our modern world - this is not a very good saying...can you imagine people telling others to go drink their own piss?....selah

( I have to apologize if this offends anyone - just saying those words bothered me... )

There should be no reason to clean that verse up. It's an offense. You know, sometimes the Bible is offensive. I imagine that's why new versions take "hell" out as well. That's just too offensive. Then tough.

Again, just because modern language perverts a word, gives us absolutely no authority to change God's word.

I just learned the other day that the candlestick in Exodus 25 has exaclty 66 decorations... bowls, flowers and knops. The candlestick represents the word of God. Is it a coincidence that the foreshadow of the bible has 66 decorations and our bible has 66 books?

Exodus 25:31 KJV
And thou shalt make a candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work shall the candlestick be made: his shaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, shall be of the same.

I'm not talking about a "code" I'm talking about the number patterns that exist in the KJV. Who caused those codes to come about in the KJV, the translators or God?

Most likely neither, most likely the reader looking for codes.
As I said, my post could easily be picked apart to say something else than what it originally said, be that my intention or not

the Israelites came out of Egypt with 600 thousand men.

adding all together, we get 666.

God is telling us to always be on our guard, because Satan is lurking behind the scenes.

And only the 2 that had a different spirit than the rest actually entered the promised land.

And who is 666 antichrist? Those who don't confess that Christ came in the flesh.... funny the Jews don't believe Jesus was the Chrst.

The is a classic false dichotomy. It is far more likely that the word counts are simply a coincidence; after all, the number 97 has no particular meaning in Scripture. Your argument breaks down on the fact that the Holy Spirit is responsible for the fruit of the Spirit, whether He is called the Holy Ghost (KJV) or Holy Spirit. No translation calls them the fruit of the Ghost, and the KJV does not describe two distinct Persons with those terms.

I agree whether we say Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost we are talking about the same thing. It's just different ways of talking about the same thing. And yes I agree no translation calls them the fruits of the Ghost but if they did it would be correct because the Ghost and the Spirit are the same.

I also agree that 97 has no particular meaning in scripture, and that's why the KJV translates Ghost 90 times and Spirit 7 times becasue both of those numbers do have meaning. That's all I'm saying. It is obvious that is was purposely done but the question is was it done by the translators or by the inspiration of God.

Sorry, this kind of 'logic' makes me burst out laughing. It's ridiculous. There's nothing there.
