"Who are you" can be a scary question, because a lot of people don't know who they are, and a good few of them use the wrong measurement to determine who they are. To increase who they think they are, or avoid thinking about who they are, people will:
Do anything to advance their careers;
Do anything to fill every waking moment with entertainment;
Do anything to find a spouse to give them some identity;
Pickle themselves in alcohol or drugs to chase the question away;
Or sometimes even kill themselves when they realize they have no idea who they are or why they should be here. No I'm not being facetious.

As the song says, when you take away what you have done, who you know, all the social trappings and achievements... what remains is who you are.

So who are you?

Even if you are reinventing yourself you are, right now. You may still have a becoming, but you are right now. Who are you?

(And, yeah. That's the problem I'm having. Who I see myself as doesn't fit into the traditional answer to that.)

Aw, honest. Wasn't fishing for a compliment.

Best I got so far is I'm a South Philly urban-gardener and teddy bear story teller, but since I'm trying to sell a teddy bear book, it sounds like that's it for my life.

You're the person. And you're free to describe anything that tells something of your life, except what's been mentioned. Not deep confession time. I take it as things I'm passionate in doing. (Except most the stuff I'm passionate about is somewhere between deadly-dull or weird to most people. lol)
