I've been reading so much fear mongering lately, I sometimes feel like most people are afraid of their shadow. Here's your chance to tell us who we should be most fearful of.

In 25 words or less, tell us who we should fear and why. I'll post the one I fear most next week.

The only thing I would fear is hell but then thank God for His grace. Something close to a fear is getting to Heaven and realizing the time I wasted that could have been more productive here. We get 'graded' at the Judgment Seat of Christ and I'd like to gain a few of those crowns before it's too late.
You're right, fear and posting anybody's death who's even vaguely related to anybody famous, lol, is front page headlines. The only thing I think is, wow they're either in Heaven or Hell rn.

The only One anyone should fear is God Himself. The scriptures are so full of references to fearing God it's ridiculous. All the fearmongering and "the sky is falling" is just funny really; like chickens running around with their heads chopped off.

All I can think of is Matthew 10:28.

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Aside from that the Bible does not talk much about things we are supposed to fear. It does talk a lot about things that will happen in the end time, a lot of those things being objectively bad, but the Bible does specifically state that when we see these things we are to look up because we're about to get out of here.

Looking forward to it too.

As Christians, there is only the Lord that we should have a reverent fear of.
Just like I had a healthy fear of my earthly father if I got out of line, I have a very healthy fear from my Heavenly Father.

But I do think MANY, possibly even yourself, mistake discussing earthly issues, and warning of impending malevolent events on the horizon, as fear from those who discuss them.

Rev 21: 8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Mk 4: 40b Why are you so fearful? how is it that you have no faith?
2 Tim. 1: 7 For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

I trust Adonai rather than man. All men are liars.
Num 23: 19 God is NOT a man that HE should lie.

He tells us that He will keep those who love Him. I trust Him on that, no matter WHO He choses to put in office. Adonai YHWH IS GOD and there is NO OTHER.

I have nothing to fear.

I find it interesting that many Christians concentrate on doom and gloom, rather than the love and joy that we have in Christ.

Maybe I should have asked, how do you handle the fear that is being pushed at us continuously?

Hey you're the one who asked about fear. What did you expect?

I mostly ignore it. I don't diligently keep track of any news stream, and I seem to be happier than most of the people I know who do spend a lot of time following news sources.

I honestly don’t find it fearful. Rather, exciting. Ad we see Scripture being fulfilled right before our eyes.

Children of God should not fear anything. We know what our future holds.

Ephesians 6
The Full Armor of God

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Pray Continually
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; 19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

If we do these things, we will have no cause to fear.
