"Law-keepers" need to water down the Law in order to make it "doeable" but in effect are breaking it every day.
I wonder what happens when we fail to do one aspect of the law as James says? Thank God that Jesus fulfilled the law for us and now we are in Him and we live by the law of love, the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus, and the law of life, the law of faith, the law of liberty in Christ - the law of Christ Himself.

Yes. I'd say the Laws have to be watered down A LOT!

I'm thinking of Leviticus and Deuteronomy.

It must be a pretty long list!!
And one which CANNOT be kept.
Anyway, Jesus eliminated the Civil and Ceremonial Law and only the Moral Law was kept.
We do have to keep the moral Law, but not in the same sense as in the Old Covenant.
Jesus IS the New Covenant.

SOmetimes I can feell ike I am almost an antichrist, sitting in the temple (my body), exalting myself as if I am God by looking down on "these other men who, thank GOd I am not like." Thinking myself so holy and humble because I have such knowledge (even though it isn't really of any worth if I don't put that knowledge into practice in real time experience.) Having a small victory over my pride, by His grace, and thinking this means it is MINE now, never to be lost, and then someone presses hard on me and I find I still have so much vomit in me which spills out...aand then He pulls me down from my lofty throne until the next time I decide to climb back up to the height and be over God.
Sometimes I wonder, oh, what will He ever do with me...? The smallest bit of knowledge, a grace, and my crowing and climbing begins again and I forget my weakness.
I agree...I don't need to "keep" Lev. 18:23 to tell me not to have sex with animals. I'm sure that the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus would be able to direct me in that.
