Why am I having so much of a problem getting a good Christian girlfriend?

Do people notice that you have health problems when they talking to you? Or only you know about it?
 
First off, I think you have to DEFINE what it means for someone to be a 'good christian girl'. Does that mean, someone who believes and thinks like YOU? The Bible talks about if we are committed to CHRIST in heart, soul, mind, that He will give us the desires of our 'hearts".....only GOD knows what a good christian girl is for you...be careful that you don't have a list of 'prerequisits' that are often based on judgements and what WE think we need for a mate...GOD, who created us and KNOWS us better than we know ourselves, has the perfect timing and ALWAYS, dispite ANYTHING wants the BEST FOR YOU!!!!!!
 
brother, its not about just kissing... you have to learn to wait coz when God put you on that scene may be you are not yet ready. just pray you are only 20. God is in control. :-)
 
Once I heard a good proverb:
"The secret of a successful marriage is not having the right person. It's being the right person."
Maybe we can apply this to our situation: God knows that we are not ready yet, we have not changed enough. He wants us to love our future partner as much as (s)he deserves it.

Sometimes, being so much in want of a girlfriend/boyfriend can reveal a self-love or egoism that God wants to take from us. At least, this is what I believe: I first need to learn to become a self-sufficient person, because another person can't make me happy if I'm not happy by myself.
 
I know how you feel i'm 25 single and in ministry which makes it hard because I don't have the support system from a g/f or wife that most others in ministry have I mean I have family but not quiet the same. I have dated alot of girls but none seems right or fit with me I preach and sing and i'm held to a higher standard than most because of these things and it seems like either girls don't want to live up to that or want to drag me down into things I can't do. I'm impatient at times but i'm trying to wait on God i'm really like from girls because I go the extra mile to be a good b/f just need that one that i can share everything with so I can relate to you dude just hang in their bro God will send the right one to you in time
 
So yeah, God is freaking awesome. He really is helping me out with my social anxiety. I was actually able to talk a pretty girl today at school that I've never seen before. We actually had nice little conversation. It might not sound like much, but it's huge thing for me.
 
You need to let God bring her to you-if you go out looking for someone with your own agenda in mind you probably wont find the right one.let god bring her to you .
 
Dude, all I can say to you is trust God and only Him. -Stop looking when its time and I'm talking about Gods timing it will happen. I mean your only 20 and only 1 quarter of your life you've been praying for the mate that will last the rest of your life. don't be desperate and settle for second. You want an Issac not an Ishmael.Ill be praying for you that your love is asleep until its time....His timing :)

You don't have to have a girlfriend to be happy. Everyone it seems has this idea that they absolutely must have a boyfriend or a girlfriend. Man...you can be equally happy single as you could be with another.
Sure everyone desires companionship, but sometimes things don't play out in favor of us. Perhaps there is a reason that you can't have a girlfriend. Maybe your going to do something one day that would prohibit that. Who knows.
But don't let those clowns get ya down. Let your walk of life set an example for others. Let it show others that you are perfectly fine just the way you are, and that God has blessed you greatly. =]

you might be missing one thing here, what does God want for you? if he has the perfect girl for you where is she? do you beleive that he wants the best for you , does he know the plan for your life? in my youth i was wild and if i tried to type out some of the stuff i did i would be banned from the site. when i repented it might have been 5 years before i found a christian girl friend. when we broke up i waited 10 years before i found my next girl friend. when we broke up it was 5 years before my last girl friend and we got married . i am seperated and will be single again some time in june. its her choise not mine. i felt just like you do and all i can say is God wants what is best for you so pray , give thanks, and wait for his plan and your girl friend to show up. i hope this helps.

amen! finally somone who sees why teens must wait. everyone is in such a hurry 2 be in a relationsip, but they never sit down n wonder if they are even ready 4 it. b4 u start a relationsip ask god 2 show u HIS will...and 2 help u examine ur heart so nothing will remain in darkness, but out in the light <3

Hi dothackzero and everyone else,

I know that it is troublesome. Actually we need to remember that GOD Loves us very much. Recently I was always having this problem. But somehow I realized that actually is a trial from God and God sees how we react. I know It makes us like a loser. I have also like a Christian guy before and then he hurt my heart and it happens a lot to my church friends and I many of them are led astray and that's how the Devil is doing. Now me and some of my other friends say "Hey enjoy your single life why wanna worry about it". We don't need to worry about get GF's or BF's because we know that God loves us very much. I always wanted to have one to know what it feels like but somehow I believe God has other better plans for me.I am also twenty years old just like you and I've never kiss a guy before.

Some people pray for a job, but if you don't go out and apply or attempt to find it, you will not get one. God can help you, but you have to do your part too. God doesn't hand out presents, but he hands out rewards. If you seek a good Christian girl, you have to go find her, and God will help bring her to you. I am in the same boat as you, but I've felt I'm not ready for a relationship yet. One thing I do though is just talk to people. Say hi to people I walk by, and just meet random people. You never know when you might meet! You really do need to get over your low self confidence though. Girls do not like guys with low self confidence, they want a guy that will say "I'm taking you bowling Friday", not a guy that says "Ummm... where do you want to go?" It's the way we are made. Guys are, by God, supposed to be the leader of the family and because of this, they should be confident enough to seek out a woman that he can hope to start a family with.

To all of the girls that I've chatted with so far, I would like to really apologize about bringing up the 'thought about sexuality'. I know that I've offended a few of you already and I'm really sorry. For someone like myself who has been born with an intellectual learning disablilty, brain impairment and been through mental illness, it's been really hard for me to get out of the dating trap scene and just live a normal life in order for the right girl to come along. I agree that there is more than just one girl out there to meet my criteria :-)
 
I am single and have been for 16 years. I have learnt to find everything I need in the Lord. This is the key - focus on God. As you do this then, when the timing is right, let Him matchmake.
