prayers unanswered?
perhaps we should examine our walk:
Proverbs 28:9 --
He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination
we should not go into His presence asking for blessings & power when we should be asking for forgiveness, mercy & help setting our paths straight. when a misbehaving child asks for gifts & a trip to the zoo, don't you first make him mind your instruction & clean his room? God doesn't spoil his children, but 'disciplines those that He loves.'
when we ask Him for bread, He doesn't give us a stone, but when we are asking for bread in the middle of a tantrum, tossing our homework & our bowl of cheerios on the floor, slamming doors & refusing to do our chores -- brothers & sisters, we've got to calm down and sit at the table before we can eat.
