You heard it here: there is no body of Christ, just a bunch of people playing tennis
Imagine if people kept telling you that your roof needs repair. You say ''No, I deny that, My roof is just fine, it needs no repair.'' Now, for some reason, you seek out carpenters and listen to them discuss repairing roofs. You read and study on repairing roofs, all the while swearing that your roof needs no repair. Could it be that deep down inside, you know your roof needs repair and you just refuse to admit it???

Well thank you for giving us that information about yourself. The reason you are having a hard time understanding why others would is because your projecting your own disinterest in the cultures and worldviews other than one's own onto others. I have learned a lot from being here beyond just learning concepts that I don't accept as true based on the evidence. Through understand the Christian message I have been able to enjoy, understand, and respect a lot more artwork that has been made throughout the centuries.
I've visited Buddhist temples before as well. Some lovely ideas they have, though a lot of it is plagued with unsubstantiated claims.
What about bad waitors, or bad gardeners, or how about bad tennis players...im sure there are many, but I'm not gonna seek out websights just to gripe about them...I have better things to do with my time
This is a thread about atheists in Christian chat. It is not a thread on spelling and grammar.. welcome to my ignore bin,,,,have a nice dayPlease use spell check.

...uhh.....no...because harping on spelling is just pettyYou criticize people's personal beliefs and say there's a problem with them, and then turn around and put someone on ignore for pointing out a problem with your spelling?
Do you not see the irony?
BY THE GREEK GODS! Using this analogy, maybe I am just refusing to admit that bigfoot, aliens, and fairies exist. Perhaps I know the earth is flat and am just refusing to believe it because I have an interest in why people would believe in a flat earth.Imagine if people kept telling you that your roof needs repair. I'm going to agree with you here. Your point was still clear and that is really all that matters when communicating....uhh.....no...because harping on spelling is just petty

Really????!!!!!??? Spellcheck???? he was just flailing...LAME!I just don't see the point in criticizing if you plan to react so harshly to a spelling comment.
A lot of atheists don't believe in a nothing. The belief that there was nothing
But matter can be created and destroyed. It can be converted into energy. If we want to say that all of that is the same thing than it can still be created and destroyed and is observed to do so in the case of zero-point energy. The law of conservation of mass and energy does apply to most situation and it is a useful tool for explaining certain systems in reality, but not all systems. It doesn't work on the quantum scale and it doesn't apply to the scale of the universe which is noted in general relativity. This is actually highlighted now that it can be shown that the universe is an expanding system and therefore is not closed even in the strictest of senses. It takes more faith to believe that matter can spontaneously create itself..if matter can not be created or destroyed, it stands to reason tha there was a creator
