I would think it makes things a lot easier for the Lord if we trust him. Otherwise, he has to spend a lot of extra energy arranging events so that there is no reason to worry.
Because we easily forget how God delivered us from our troubles and when things are going well we tend to trust ourselves and take God for granted.

What laws do you find untrustworthy? Because, considering you're American, if I were a better, I'd be tempted to bet that you're confusing court decisions with law.
Most countries have the societal base Commandments from the Ten Commandments as the very base of their law. You know -- don't murder, don't commit adultery, don't steal, don't lie. (I guess it's too hard to enforce don't covet. lol)
What's wrong with that? I really am curious which laws you think are terrible. I live in Philly. What I think is terrible is they don't enforce the laws they already have.

We can trust God because God loves and cares about us. God knows best; we don't always know best even if we think we do. God is God; we are not, and God takes good care of his universe and all his creation, even the birds. How much more will he care for us? See Matthew 6:26. If a human had God's job, the world would be in chaos, especially if this person was an angry person who would shoot someone dead with a bolt of lighting if offended. God is love; he is not like that, but rather is patient and kind to those who love him and those who hate him.
I'm not saying that disobeying laws is a good thing, because it leads to chaos which is satan's ultimate goal.
That's why God says that we must obey the laws of the land ...EVERYONE ,that way EVERYONE is held to a standard that can be policed for lack of a better word.
I'm saying that when people don't do that and instead make their own laws based on their wants it can and does have a far reaching effect.
I'm thinking of this community that I just came from that is owned by meth dealers that prostitute children, those children are effected by the laws that those dealers are making themselves.
Oh yeah these people that I'm talking about do what they do because they says God told them to.
They supposed Christians that ran me outta town because I didn't agree with them.
In fact I got a entire hospital of them fired from their jobs when I seen them pimping children and selling meth in the parking lot.
I went to the cops but they didn't do nothing because they bought and payed for.
Everywhere I go all I see is corruption like this.
If it was up to me? They all going to hell.
