$2 shop is a store in NZ. (actually we just call all cheap shops $2 shops even though most have raised their prices)
I mean you could just test them out in store but I don't think the store owners would appreciate everyone touching and squeezing their merchandise and then not buying it. lol

The ones that have lost their pop probably had too many people test them out in the store.
It's like soda pop eventually loses it's fizz.
I really don't think you can find a 'high end' fidget toy. Its a unicorn! Don't pay too much for one

Now this is a lady after my own heart.
As human beings, I think we DO have a sensory side that needs to experience things real and close-up.
There has been many a time when I THOUGHT I wanted to buy something (I saw online,) but once I was actually able to see it in person and touch or experience it, I suddenly realized I didn't really need it -- I just liked the idea of it.
In an odd sort of way, physical stores have actually saved me a lot of money!
P.S. @Godsgirl1983 -- Could you see the two of us shopping in a store?! Your kids would have drag us away -- that is, if security didn't kick us out first!
Check out the movie Thirteen Lives. It's intense, but well worth the watch.
I remember following the case in the news as it was happening.
I have not watched the film, but Thirteen Lives is based on the Tham Luang cave rescue in 2018.

"Twelve members of a junior football team, aged 11-16, and their 25-year-old assistant coach, entered the cave system in Chiang Rai (Thailand.) Heavy rainfall began and partially flooded the cave system, blocking their way out and trapping them deep within.
The rescue effort took as many as 10,000 people, including more than 100 divers. It was also required to pump more than one billion liters of water from the cave systems.
Two Navy SEALS died due to complications with the rescue.
All 12 boys, and their assistant coach survived."

I don't know which to laugh at harder...the idea of the 2 of us shopping together and all the

Another thing we could do without is Ticks.
I have a lot of trees around my house. And while Ticks don't have the natural ability to take flight,they can still fly.
On windy days if they're on the grasses or in trees,all they have to do is release their grip. And the winds carry them.
If you find one on your arm,blow on it. It won't move. Their grip is intense.
I find one Tick on me and it feels like there's another one crawling around even when they're not.
Another thing about Fleas. This is just wrong. They can survive under water for two days. Regular fleas,not Sand Fleas.

It was first invented in China but people on CC were like no it wasn't the Chinese it was the wasps! As if the wasps just gave us paper. They didn't want to admit that perhaps the Chinese came up with the idea, maybe they had observed it from the wasps.
Well what about flight, did birds invent that as well? Nobody wants to admit a New Zealander Richard Pearse invented the first human flight? Before the Wright Brothers?
And black water rafting...is a kiwi invention too.
Question...why does New Zealand exist? I mean, most maps don't actually have New Zealand on it like we the invisible islands. Most people have never heard of us, and think we are crazy for naming mountains, or would prefer it if we or mountains just didn't exist.
Are we people, or are we birds? Why do kiwis exist when they can't fly?
Bees are very useful in New Zealand, after all, our parliament is a beehive. But wasps are a nuisance. We have the highest densities of german and common wasps in the world. Wasps have stung me. Wasps ate all our caterpillars so I didn't see ANY butterflies this year.
Actually now we are getting hornets as well, and the govt is warning us if we see any to capture them and destroy them as we don't want them invading as well.

I don't really question the existence of toys. You could make a toy out of anything.

Pegasus is a mythical horse. I think that's pretty cool being I am fond of horses. When they fly that's even better. Though the aerial poop factor is rarely considered by fans.
Unicorns have had a resurgence for some reason and are now somehow related to Sodoms alphabet community.
Flying pigs is another old one. Though I heard, with enough thrust pigs fly just fine.
