I'm afraid I don't really have an answer for you, but I've wondered the same. Sometime I wonder if I'm being too picky. Why is it that every woman I meet that is worth marriage is either old enough to be my mother or already married?
Then I see the females at work and realize I'm better off on my own.
I have a slight disabilty that god gave me. I am stronge. but i think people judge me. What is thier promble

About 15 years ago I was diagnosed with Crohns disease. I've discovered that most of the ladies that I've dated in the past either looked at my condition as a death sentence or they didn't even take it into consideration at all (didn't seem to really care) both of which made me feel very uncomfortable.
Ok, a couple things about finding the *right* person.
I find it interesting ( and disheartening) how a guy can match what you are looking for, but there can be a total lack of chemistry. Then once you find the basics + chemistry sometimes the guy is not a *real* Christian.
About the health thing, I've thought about this and I don't think people are really going to get health problems completely unless they have lived with them- or loved someone who had them. Even then they may lack understanding.
But if you can find someone who has character- I mean real character- compassion, understanding, the ability to see how the illness may effect the relationship and still be willing to try- I think you have a chance. And believe it or not, those people do exist....somewhere...lol

Around 11 years ago I met a wonderful girl who, to be completely honest, was the only girl I had ever dated that I would have considered marrying. However after a couple months, when I felt things were beginning to progress between us, the last thing I wanted was to keep my Crohn's a secret. She told me that she had a friend who had Crohn's and from what she described, her friend had one of the more serious cases. Needless to say, the following week I was I checking my e-mail on her computer when one of her ex's started to instant message her with some pretty "intense" conversation. When I called her into the room to tell her, I could see it in her eyes that our relationship was over.
Took a really long time to get over that one....
