Yeah, sometimes I struggle with bitterness as well. And when you start wondering if maybe there is something wrong with you, you know what I mean? Like when things happen and eventually you come to the conclusion you're messed up and that's why you chase people off.I dunno, maybe it's just me. I'm teetering on the edge of being a eunuch for the sake of the gospel. Even though marriage would be nice, to have a partner to help me preach the gospel, I am close to abandoning the dream lol

You don't need to abandon your dreams yet. Your still young. you're only 23. Me: I'm 45. Too old now to start a family or anything.

O you're not too old. A friend of mine from church got married for the first time less than 2 years ago and he was in his 40's. I just don't wanna deal with all the drama and the like. Honestly, loneliness is better than the heartbreak from being rejected.

I think for successful marriages to happen both parties have to do two things. One, they have to learn to pull their punches verbal or otherwise. Two, learn when a topic is worth fighting over. I'm watching my bosses marriage disintigrate and its only 6 months old. They got married after a two week engagement. Though they new each other for three years and lived together for 1 of them. Neither of them has learned either of those two skills.

You can't truly know a person until you fight them. Verbally or otherwise. How a person fights tells a great deal about their character and personality. Most people are too self-centred to learn to get along.

I do really admired my boss husband.. I mean i learned alot from them... its not that they are co0l.. and both are active in the ministry..its just that its very important to invest prayers.. and be humble.. be sumissive to your husband... well, my boss is submissive and her husband is humble.. SO, everytime they fight, i notice that one of them really humble and settle the problem before the sunset.. which is very good.. Well, GOd bless them both!

its hard to find the right one bc we are looking.
if we just let go and let god intervene then he will bring you and your partner together
when the timing is perfect, remember god is never early and never late.

yes, you will get impatient but the best thing to do is just pray for your future partner
and trust that the lord will bring you two together at the perfect time... and he will.

Yeah I think your right, But it's so hard not to look. It feels like if I don't look the right person will pass me by, I know its not true, but still.

Maybe I should not be posting here but I really used to thnk the same as everyone here. I thought that I would never find anyone or they woudlnt like me, i have a few physical issues myself as I am a little overweight among just not liking myself at differnt times in my life. I looked and looked and finally decided to just give iot all to God and let him have that desire to find the "perfect" guy for me and ya know once i gave that desire up within a few months God revealed to me who I was to marry, even before we could be together. I am not saying it always works that way but for me it did. Forget about it even if it is hard and God will alllow you to meet the perfect person for YOU when it is the right time. Sometimes it takes so long because God is trying to perfect that person just for you, God may still be working on him or her just so you can have what you wantg, need, or desire in a person or he may be working on you to make you the person that the one that is meant for you needs..
Just my thoughts!
God Bless

I totally have to agree with you Kristen, I did the same thing and gave everything up to the Lord and He revealed the perfect one for me and i"m proposing to her this coming up year :)

Confucious says, "He who replies to three year old post is wasting time."
