I'm just concerned that some members here are promoting a 'Christianity' that has little basis in the Bible and its teachings and more in common with cults and amalgamations of various pagan religions. Not good.
2 Peter 2:1

"
[h=2]"But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction."[/h]Unfortunately, I think the Church has been in the position you speak of for several centuries at the very least.

That guy is crazy... Please help him
Heavenly father, throw this crazy guy into a very deep pit of wild dogs and centipedes for a month so that he be removed from the world and may happily reflect in peace.

This is just a big argument forum in my opinion. I still come here as I guess I like a little bit of arguing but it does get old.

I don't think anything will happen... Daniel was with lions. What will wild dogs do to a man with Gods spirit in him.. Think of something worse :)

To be honest, I should already be gone. I stay here simply because I naturally like debating.

@Simiel

Something worse? I know!!
What could be worse than Satan himself, among with a battle squad of demons, ambushing you in the street? Not just in your mind but also quite literally.

The basis for members here I believe is that they believe in God and Jesus Christ. We all have opinions on what the scriptures are telling us but I am afraid that without the Holy Ghosts guidance to show us the right way we all are just grasping at straws. Some are spot on but others are partly right and some are just off the mark. What you know may be the thing that enlightens others and progresses more knowledge. Being a Christian is about sharing what we have with others without the though of ourselves in that act.

I don't think one single person on this website is crazy. To jump into the modern world I think this statement by Dave Chapelle best reflects my feeling on it.

To put it another way, I don't think people are crazy. I've talked to many so-called "crazy" people and none of them are crazy as people. Now there are certainly crazy ideas, crazy events, crazy things (both good and bad) that happen to people. However I don't think people, and certainly not a single person on this website is crazy.

Or if you want to go in the reverse direction, every single one of us is crazy and not a single person is sane lol, if you will that theory could be summed up in Carl Jung's famous quote: "Show me a sane man and I will cure him."

Either way I think just like with the Chapelle quote, and to refine it to my own words a bit, I think people just call other people crazy as a means of dismissing their very real plights, ideas, etc. When really what we should be doing is examining the craziness and soothing it with the Truth and Love (like if someone has the crazy idea to hurt themself, try to help them) or else saying, hey that's kinda crazy but it's true (like something cool like some of the miracles in the Bible.)

All I can say is, if nothing else, being here reminds me that that Christians are not any better, any more loving, any smarter, or more thoughtful than any other grouping of people, but for the grace of God. And at the end of the day, it's always a question of what our particular weakness are. For some its theological. Other's its practical, or relational, or service-centered. I always hope to at least correct some of my weakness (Which are real), even as I try to correct the weaknesses in others.

The trick, of course, is correctly adduce which are our weakness. And often that most requires humility. Sometimes I think Peter should have said 'humility covers over a multitude of sins'. I guess humility is really a subset of love, but still... :p

Really awesome statement! I would agree to that and say that the same is with me and my journey in this life.

It seems that, a mayoritarian group of people, has "the right" to say:"you are crazy, we are not"... I am a nut!. I know what makes the difference and, as many here has said, it requires humility, even some healthy wisdom, to say I am a nut <when you are or cuold be>. At certain age there is a tendence to <demencia senil>. They do not see who they behave, the odd things they do, and call themself healthy, while a <healthy> mayority may say: You are crazy. He! He!

Just go to a psiquiatric hostital and see what they say. Some are <healthier> than I think I am. Ja! Ja! :D

I joined these forums to discuss the Christian faith, amongst other things, with like-minded Christians. A number of people I've encountered so far are 'interesting', to say the least. How is it that some Christians here don't even know and believe the very basic tenants of the Christian faith? What a mess. An interesting mess but a mess nonetheless. I pray that we delve into God's Word, with the Holy Spirit as our guide and that we try to avoid placing our own ideals on the Scriptures. May God's Truth prevail!
Whose tenets of the Christian faith? If one disagrees with you, are they in error?

There should be several tenets that are incontrovertible. But there are people out there that would argue with every single one of them.

The bible puts most of these disputes to rest. The only problem is some don't even believe their own bible. For example the Apostle Paul...

I know you're not. I was just trying to be humorous and it didn't come out quite right.

It seems anyone who truly believes Jesus appears lunatic to any others who still have hang-ups on the material world... If friendship with the world is enmity with God, it is not a small wonder that so many think us as whack jobs........I do not mind one bit. The love from Yeshua, Jesus, is extreme riches.........This too will sound insane to those who love the world.

in fact, yesterday I knew my account on netlog was blocked because I wasn't behaving according to the moderator's mood.

I don't post nude pictures (I don't either see those who like to show their bathing suit), I have written against paganity and have posted against cheating and against being unloyal, etc.

I have deletes their messages in front of my wall luring me away to lust (particular if a woman of 25 pretends she is wooing at me). Ha! Ha! Ha!

I may laugh at the hypocrisy of this world I was once part of, my friend. I regret my inner secularlity, though.

I do laugh at the censorship mundane people set on our "religion" or whatever label we think we have as being averaged Christians.

Our self-rightiousnes IS NOTHING before the eyes of GOD and I'll be proud, if any day, HE call me by name.

Let's bless the ONE who richly bless each man or woman.

I came back to prove I am NUT...

If someone did anything wrong, using my account, he did me a favor.

If I did anything wrong, I could be warned (for being wrong) but they locked my account, without asking me "What was wrong".

I rather tell I am this. I haven't crack peoples mind or psswrd... I just deserve it for being nut. He! He!

The best advice I was ever given was this:

Do not worry about what other people are doing.
Each person is responsible for the information and truth they were given,
and will be responsible to Jesus on the judgment day.

Work on your relationship with Yashua Jesus our savior
Be with him
Be like him
Be love him
Be adore him
Be thank him.
Be wait for him
Be seeing him.

Well yeaah, (that tonal inflection is hard to get on a key board)...

Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.
