I really think it's due to the "older" yet less accurate manuscripts used for the translation of most of the "modern" translations we have have today. The modern marvels are a good translation... of texts that leave out scripture.

Actually, it came at the perfect time in history as God saw man starving for the word of God in the English language. English was exploding throughout the world.
I do not trust that the translators got it right, I trust in God to fulfill His promise to preserve His words for us. As God foresaw the explosion of English, He had His word translated in English. This would lead to an incredible revival period where hundreds of thousands of people would here the gospel and be saved through the KJV.

It's no wonder we are now in the Laodicean Age with all the different versions. It's confusing and goes against the nature of the one true God with one faith and one baptism, one body, etc...but many versions of what God has said.
Who has the final authority on what God has said? Man or God? Many versions = man. One version = God.

The only way you know about the Lord Jesus Christ is through a book. By the way, God said about His word, "thou has magnified thy word above all thy name." Without the word of God, we know nothing about the cross.

so you know that John says the same as i said. that annointing teacheth, and you need not that any other teach you, if you have received it. these people the apostle wrote to did not have the completion of the scripture, as we do today - and yet what they had of God is sufficient! how much lower we are then, to have such richness, if we still do not comprehend?

do ya think that when men heard the Lord praised and the mystery of His kingdom proclaimed by speaking in tongues, they argued that it wan't legit unless it was in Koine?

That was the common language of the world at the time the New Testament was written.... it would have stank if it had not been written in Greek... There is no debate if the New Testament was written in Greek...
It's so easy to justify your position by throwing doubt on someone. Instead of "I think," how about checking out the facts of the matter and giving your sources instead of slandering? And, even if there were a homosexual on the board of translators, does that somehow prove that it is corrupt? No. There wasn't a sinless person on the KJV team either.
It would serve you well to to do some more homework. Even the Hebrew scribes made "footnotes", when they found what appeared to be errors or inconsistencies. Given that there are variations among manuscripts, it is more honest to note the variations than to assume one is correct and hide the existence of other possibilities. The ignorance of variations is no guarantor of accuracy.
Interesting thought, but invalid because of the lack of contextual knowledge. The KJV was not the first version in English. There were several in existence by that time. It was one among many. So your "Many versions = man" statement applies to the KJV just as much as to any more recent English version. Even the KJV we have in general print today is not the 1611 version, but many KJV-only-ists don't know or don't believe this.

There is no reason any honest believer cant, with the Spirit of Truth, study out the differences in translations which in general are not that great. Lazy people will always be deceived ...but those that labor to gain true understanding will have a reward.

That is not how the comparative approach works.
And, that is one of the problems with using multiple bible versions, division. They do not speak the same things and they are not of the same mind.

The only way you know about the Lord Jesus Christ is through a book. By the way, God said about His word,*"thou has magnified thy word above all thy name."*Without the word of God, we know nothing about the cross.*

What that brings is man being the final authority. There are literally thousands of differences in each of the versions. Do you actually believe this is what God intended? No mature believer would agree. What we get is, "I like the way this version puts it." "I" being the final authority.
If you don't have something certain to point man to, then why should they listen? How could I ever answer a lost person who asks, "How do you know the Bible is true?" Which Bible? uhhh...all of them. God is not the author of confusion.
I believe that God who gave us His perfect words, is also powerful enough to preserve His words for us to have today, complete in one book. My confidence is in God, not man.

Yes every man has to answer to God in regards to how he handles the Word of Truth...and those who study to show themselves approved will be approved by God. I taught myself Greek ..so I could read the Scriptures for myself ... And whats your idea that some pope or king should tell us what words really mean? I don't get your point? God gave us all the information we need to make a honest and informed understanding of His Word... If you don't want to learn Greek to have better understanding? That's on you..not me
So your putting trust in the Greek manuscripts. Which ones? There are thousands of them. You know they are copies of copies of copies etc...Do you not trust that God could preserve His words in the English language?

if you claim the Greek text are not certain? That's based on your ignorance of how those text have been preserved and how they agree with each other ..even tho they was spread though out the known world and brought back together over almost two thousand years ...its amazing how much they do agree...in fact its clearly a miracle of God in how He has preserved all these many manuscripts from all these many places ...
The argument that the text cant be trusted because of some minor differences is only made by those that are ignorant of the facts.
