The reason higher interest rates helped bring down Biden induced inflation is because raising rates took money out of the economy that had been flooded into it without an increase in economic expansion. Our economy is expanding and taking money out of it will slow this. The cause of our current inflation is known: the rising cost of energy due to wars. It is self correcting, for the most part, once wars end or other routes are established to move energy. Rates should be left alone or even lowered, in my opinion, but won't be if the Fed keeps employing outdated models.

It's the weakness of most capitalist economies. Australia's Labor party is socialist, somewhat like the Democrats in America. The Labor treasurer in 1990 pushed interest rates to 17.5%. I was in industrial sales then. I was calling on companies, only to find the doors locked and the business shut down. One time, the buyer was walking out the door as I walked in. He had been retrenched. Since there was less business, my sales were way down and I lost my job too.

One commentator described it as burning down the house to get rid of the rats. The people who make these decisions never suffer themselves.

The current energy issues push me towards an EV for my next vehicle, if I decide to replace what I have. Vast numbers of Aussies are thinking the same way.

"Plaintiff Michael Null informed police that his minor 13 year old daughter, M.R.N., was alone at home. The government went to Michael Null’s home to execute the search warrant, and pulled a gun on M.R.N. when she attempted to put her cell phone in her pocket. M.R.N. was handcuffed and detained for hours while police searched Michael Null’s home.

While Plaintiffs were in custody, and detained, the government went to William Null’s home, and again drew their guns on grandpa, who is hard of hearing, for not walking fast enough in their direction. The police shouted they would 'put him down like a dog' if he did not comply. Plaintiffs’ minor children were handcuffed for hours during the search. An aunt arrived to remove the children from the premises, and the police required her to leave because 'no minors were on site.'

During the search of Plaintiffs’ homes, the government caused as much damage as possible. It certainly appeared unnecessary and intentional. Doors were kicked in, drywall was removed, a car was run over by the government’s mine-resistant ambush-protected vehicle, MRAP, causing $18,000.00 in damage to Plaintiff’s car.

Plaintiffs, construction workers, lost significant business while their case was pending, and their business, Null Building and Remodeling, was destroyed by the brand 'domestic terrorist.'"
