Correct. However there is some confusion in my head about this. What happens with the souls (good or bad) until then?

The Bible says "absent from the body, present with the Lord." And if you dont accept the Lord you go to hell.

Abraham was considered righteous by God because of his faith. I think it's the same with us today. This goes back to the prophecy about one of the names of the Messiah being "The Lord our Righteousness." In effect, we are not righteous. But we are counted righteous if we put our faith in him, because he is our righteousness.
Yes but here we have a problem. Here is a quote from Quran:
But righteous is the one who believes in God, the Last Day, the Angels, the Scripture and the Prophets; who gives his wealth in spite of love for it to kinsfolk, orphans, the poor, the wayfarer, to those who ask and to set slaves free. And (righteous are) those who pray, pay alms, honor their agreements, and are patient in (times of) poverty, ailment and during conflict. Such are the people of truth. And they are the God-Fearing." (Quran 2:177)
Don`t get me wrong: I`m not a Muslim and I`m not defending Islam but I think maybe Christianity can come with something better for the sake of everyone.

No it does not.I know people who are Muslim and have become born again Christians. They are not mentally incapable of understanding.

Like kaylagrl, I know of Muslims who have become born again Christians, some members of the church have worked with Muslims over a number of years and seen them come to faith. We also have an amazing guy who was born into a Muslim family, brought up as a Muslim, but became a born again Christian, I had the priviledge of attending his baptism. He is an active member of the Church I go to.

Come up with something better? That would mean?....

Hi everybody,
This is my first post here. I was looking for a place where I can ask some religious questions and here I am.
Now, back to the question. I think there is pretty much an agreement among Christians that not only (true) Christians will go to heaven but pagans too, and that includes Muslims for example. In order for them to be accepted in heaven they have to live a good life, so to speak. But now we have a problem. What exactly is "good"? For a Muslim who knows a different Jesus than Christians, "good" means obeying Muhammad's commandments which include killing people in the name of Islam. One such "good " Muslim is considered terrorist for the rest of the world. However for all he knows, he lives a good life.
Will he go to heaven?

He lives a good life 'repenting his sins' five times a day?

What is the true meaning of 'repentance'?

Continue in sin or stop sinning, according to the HOLY BIBLE of the MESSIAH and what is the 'way', 'the truth' and 'the life', the only 'way' to the FATHER, is only by HIM?

Yes but here we have a problem. Here is a quote from Quran:
No we do not have a problem the unbeliever has a problem because he has not believed the word of God.
Don`t get me wrong: I`m not a Muslim and I`m not defending Islam but I think maybe Christianity can come with something better for the sake of everyone.
Christianity has nothing to say about it. God has spoken and allah is not God. Only those who have received the blood of Jesus Christ as atonement for their sins will see the kingdom of God.

The muslim god is capricious and distant. Often seen as disinterested in mankind. God who is God loved the world to the extent that He sent His only begotten Son to die to redeem sinners. John 3:16

There is only one way into heaven and it is through Jesus Christ. No man come unto the Father but by Him.

I'm not sure I understand. What is written in the Bible cannot be changed on one's whims in good conscience. The truth is the truth. The Bible claims that there is no one righteous. This includes, yes, even those who give alms. So the truth is we cannot become righteous no matter how much we want to unless God makes us righteous. A person who has sinned once cannot undo his sins and make himself perfect again. But God can. And he's already offered us that gift.

So in spite of what the Qur'an says, there is no one righteous. Sure, we have it within ourselves to do good deeds, but that doesn't mean we're righteous. One good deed cannot undo an evil deed. I hope this helps. So, again, righteousness is between Man and God. It's not up to Man alone.

If we could be declared righteous on merit of our own good deeds alone, then Christ would not have had to die for us. The Bible does, however, claim that those God has made righteous (i.e., true believers) will endeavor to do his will. In effect, God declares us righteous by our faith, and we show the measure of our faith by our fruit (i.e., good deeds).

So it's not that righteousness and good deeds do not go hand-in-hand. It's just that righteousness and good deeds have no direct correspondence. All the Bible claims is: 1. there are those who are proclaimed righteous by God through their faith, and 2. good deeds always accompany that kind of faith. So, yes, righteousness and good deeds go hand-in-hand, but perhaps not in the way we are wont to think.

No, Muslims will not go to Heaven. Christians go to Heaven. Muslims worship a demonic god. It can never be let to go unanswered when a Muslim claims their god is the same as that of the Christians. It is not!

Ergo, Muslims go to Hell.

Or what their demonic faith refers to as Jahannam. And rightly so for the evil terrorists of ISIS. And not soon enough either.

Florian, you've asked a question regarding muslim jihadists, you've been given the answer yet you don't like the answer you've been given. What more do you want?

If they repent and turn and believe on Jesus Christ as their Savior, yes anything is possible with God. They can't help if they
where taught this from a child. Someone needs to tell them the truth. We had to hear the truth,no?

Most if not all people here are talking from the Christian point of view only, as it the whole world knows about Christ and Bible the way Christians do. This results in poor means to counter other religions. You can't counter Islam with sayings as "it's written in the Bible", "Christ is right", "common sense" and so on. This may not be obvious here but it is when you go to general discussion forums and confront Muslims. A lot of Muslims defend ISIS like groups and Islam using the same words as we Christians do or saying something like: "Christians do the same".
Islam is a totally illogical religion and is hard for us to understand why it is so successful. There are 1.8 bil Muslims in the world and growing while Christians number is lowering. While I can understand it in Muslim countries, I don't understand why people raised in democratic, Christian countries choose this path. How come? One explanation is that we don't have good answers to counter Islam. Just quoting from Bible doesn't help. That's what I am looking for here.

Will he go to heaven?

There is only one Jesus. Do you know Him? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved. Jesus said, " I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

And Peter said:Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

So to answer your first question, will Muslim Jihadists go to heaven? That's actually a presumptuous, judgmental type of question that can't be answered. Because you are actually asking: will all Jihadist Muslims go to heaven because of their jihadist beliefs? As far as, will a Muslim go to heaven? That's presumptuous and it all depends on the Muslim. If a Muslim believes in Jesus as the only begotten Son Of God then he will go to heaven.

Pagans do not go to heaven, only those who believe in Jesus go to Heaven, based on the verses I already showed you.Also, it's wrong to think you have to live a good life in order to get to heaven. Then you ask, "What exactly is good?" The bible says, there is none that doeth good, no, not one. And, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Nobody in the world is good enough to deserve to go to heaven, and that's why Jesus is the only way to heaven. Because it means that the only way to get to heaven is to have your sins forgiven, so that "goodness" or "righteousness" is automatically imputed upon you by Faith. And the only way that could ever happen is for you to receive and profess Jesus, as your Lord and Savior. Jesus is the only one in all of History who died and suffered for the sins of the whole world and rose again from the dead. So,as I said, There's only one Jesus. There might be a whole slew of prophets, but there's only one begotten Son of God, Jesus Christ. So, to answer the question, what is "good"? Believing and receiving Jesus as your Lord and Savior is good. Rejecting Jesus is evil. That's the basic difference between good and evil. What sins each of us may or may not be guilty of is irrelevant.

Then you seem to be under the impression that if a person thinks he's doing good, when he's actually doing evil that we should go by what he thinks instead of by the Truth. But, no, he won't go to heaven even if he thinks he's doing good when he is actually doing evil. You also said that he's just doing what he feels any good Muslim should do, which is to follow Mohammad's commandments. In order for him to be following Mohammad's commandments he would have to be following the letter of the law of the Holy Koran. The Jihadists teach that if they kill anybody who is not Muslim, (Infidels) and especially if you die killing the infidels (such as in suicide bombings) then it will be instant paradise for you. Well, from what I understand, Mohammad, himself, never taught such doctrine. Even the Muslims who study the Koran will tell you that the Koran doesn't teach that. That kind of Jihadist doctrine was instigated at a later time by the caliph's who wanted to establish Islamic states. And the modern day jihadist movement was started by modern day Jihadists. Not by Mohammad.

Islam is a religion.
Christianity is a religion.
Buddhism is a religion.
Atheism is a religion.
Animism is a religion.
Judaism is a religion.
etc. etc. etc. and so on and so forth.
There are lot's of religions.

But Jesus isn't a religion. He's a person who died for the sins of everybody in the world, regardless of what religion they belong to. So all we have to do is believe in Him and He will forgive all our sins and take us to heaven with Him.

So, to rephrase your initial question "Can(instead of "Will") a Muslim Jihadist go to Heaven?" Yes. Most definitely! All he has to do is repent of his sins and ask Jesus to Forgive him and believe that Jesus is the Christ, the only begotten Son of God, who died for his sins and rose again from the dead. Then God will give him the free gift of everlasting life.

So, to follow that up with, can a Jew or a Buddhist or an animist or an atheist or a communist or anybody from any other religion go to heaven? Yes. All they have to do is repent of their sins and believe in and receive the Savior of the world Jesus Christ.

as yahshua says -- if i be lifted up, i will draw all men to myself. he has to live in the lives of his disciples directly, personally, intimately, fully, and without distractions(as much as possible, humanly speaking)...

if a muslim hears someone talk about religion, the bible, christ jesus, heaven, and so on -- he ignores it because he doesn't see it in the lives of people talking about it (over 90% of those people on earth who are called christian but serve(worship) God with their lips only and their hearts and lives are FAR FROM HIM.)

if a muslim SEES yahshua hamashiach, the son of yahweh creator sovereign king lord master, in the life
of
a
little child even, he will be(or may be) drawn to the real and true yahshua he sees - as this is different than any other life he sees and it is as yahshua says, as yahweh's word says.

We are to be witnesses for Christ. We are not here to counter any other religion. We are here to testify of what Christ has done for us and what Christ will do for whosoever will come to Him for forgiveness of their sins. We are not responsible for the response only that we proclaim the message. God does the drawing and the convicting through His word and by His Spirit. We are only vessels fitted for His use.

You are ineffective because you have adopted the wrong methods. God has promised that His word will not return unto Him void but will accomplish that to which He has purposed it. There are no answers apart from Gods word.

Florian, there is only one Truth, and that is Jesus Christ. Christians did not design the Truth of divinity, we simply acknowledge it. How do we know Jesus is the Truth? He says so, and His works back up His words. Jesus performed miracles that have yet to be equaled and His miracles were witnessed by many people. Jesus died and was raised again, and His Resurrection and Ascension were witnessed by many people.

Jesus is the Author of life and our Authority. This is not about sharing a Christian perspective; this is about Truth. I'm not beating you up, I'm just saying that you're being given the Truth and you refuse to accept it. Pray about it. Read Scripture, not the quran.

You are wrong. I can show you passages from Quran and links to Muslims who studied the Quran that teaches exactly that.

It's not me that's ineffective, it's the whole world. And that includes you. Yes praying for them it's OK, but it is enough?
Mark 16:15:
Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
