Jesus: "What are you doing?"
Me: "Arguing with people on the internet."
Jesus: "That's really dumb."

That was not my position. @surfer14 said they are probably liberals. These women I mentioned were holiness preachers. They preached holiness including the truth that wives should submit to the authority of their husbands.

You are trying to move the goal post of the conversation between surfer14 and myself but I am not taking the bait. They were not liberals. Beth Moore is not a liberal. Joyce Meyers is not a liberal. No Christian woman preaching or teaching supports the alphabet people and anyone who does has no audience in the Christian world and is unknown to all but their apostate circles.
Not attempting to move anything just commenting that you are citing apostates as conservatives. Beth Moore and Joyce Meyers are not conservative believers by any sensible definition.

You are correct there is no reason to argue the matter. You do not have a well defined position and have not to this point presented a position that is biblical.

You are acting like God should be impressed with the wisdom of the world.

2Ti 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

Beth Moore is totally liberal. Joyce Meyers probably isn't quite as odious as moore, but she still felt the need to tell Uganda that they need more gays. Your best bet in arguing against my position would be to ask if there any male pastors that aren't liberal. And at that point I'd be forced to admit that I know of very few. But I suspect there are zero females.

I have no idea who Beth Moore is & I haven't heard Joyce Meyer preach for years so I'll take your comments with a pinch of salt.

By your line of reasoning all women should be restricted from pastoring or teaching due to the actions or style of some of them.
Shall we shut down all male teachers & pastors based on the behaviour of Jimmy Swaggart & Jim Bakker then?

That means that their offsprings would have the same characteristics as the parents (apple trees produced apple trees, etc.). When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, this tendency to follow their own heart ( they had free will) for selfish reasons is handed down to all descendants. We are all born with this original sin. Eve as the first woman transmits all her characteristics ( including being fooled) to all women.
I take after my dad. My brother is more like my mom.

When can we expect your treatise on the subject of all women being just like Eve? I imagine research is a bear since your imagination would be the main source for material.

As an aside, having given Bible studies where men were present (I didn't ask them to be there. They appreciated my teaching) I can honestly state I prefer teaching women as some men believe the reason for their presence, is to correct the women.

Get over yourselves dudes!

Hi SophieT. I got the idea when I was trying to figure out how one man's disobedience resulted in sin for many and also how are we all born in sin. I personally love everyone and like to treat both men and women like my brothers and sisters. That's with respect, courtesy, patience, and equality. I believe that during Christ's time women weren't allowed to even talk to men in public and were treated as second class citizens. Women have come a long way since then and I'm glad.

Also, do most churches still require women to wear a head covering and what is the purpose of that if anyone knows?

The final verse on that passage says:

16But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.

Posted the scripture many times, a pastor is to be the husband of one wife, and women are to keep silent in the church service, nor usurp authority over the man, simple.

Angel's appear in the masculine, the 12 apostles were men chosen by Jesus, it's a guy thing, sorry :)

The Holy Spirit inspired scripture, hasnt went through the MeToo movements approval process yet :giggle:
