in genesis 3 when eve ate the fruit, God left man in charge of women. just because man is in charge of women, doesnt make women bad companions to men. thats a poor interpretation. it clearly states men need women and women need men. but that goes without saying He left man in charge of women.
and the "letter to the church" is also a misunderstanding. God wouldnt put anything in the Bible that would confuse man. everything is clear. until you start to disagree and twisting the wording around to fit your understanding.

A pastor is a shepherd over a church or a group of people. A missionary or a evangelist would fit the bill of the description above. So, all of us are called to be missionaries and evangelists. Not all of us are called to be pastors.
I stand corrected here, as it does in fact state that a deacon can be in the church, assigned by the church, to work with the poor and handle the money collected for the poor, so I misspoke when I said that it doesn't involve someone doing God's will in God's house.

women really should be quiet and learn when a man talks and raise hands when they have a question. their catty attitudes and nature to rebel against man is a big part of humanities downfall.
how many men lost their lives from a unruly woman.
A little common sense goes a long way with most people. If she is prohibited from speaking in the assembly by divine decree, how then would she be able to preach?

Imperfectperfection: If it was that simple, why didn't the Scripture say men and women. why are the women to be quiet. its a common theme that men are to rule over women and women are to listen to the man. it was made clear in genesis that men are the rulers of women.

Yes, I know that verse well, Genesis 3:16. And, it's horribly taken out of context giving ANY man rule over a woman, alas, just like 1 Timothy 2:11-12, people use it to their advantage over women, preaching and teaching taboos of a man by a woman .
It is difficult to understand when is a situation that a woman can become a pastor of a church but if she has become one then God has a reason for that having happened. Like mystydancing said, 'the Lord called.'
Who is to judge a woman in a pastorship role that SAYS she has been called by God???
But, green, the Scripture says she is NEVER gonna be called.
So, if there is a woman that's a pastor in the church then she became tempted by the Devil, for God does not tempt, and, she, therefore, is pastoring in sin , and, that will lead to death as James 1 says !

Or, is this referring to a specific twosome: a man and a woman, like MARRIED ones?
