Women, do you find artistically inclined guys attractive?

I can play a little bit of guitar, I'm learning to play my ocarinas (flute sounding instrument), I sing, I write poetry, and I cook. I've always been shy about these skills and recently started wondering if I should attempt to mention these in conversations to increase interest in me or continue as I am and "surprising" women? Also, what things do you find attractive?
 
I dont find playing instruments to be that attractive, i dont find writing poetry to attractive either. However this is just my preference, there are other women out there that im sure find this attractive.

I like men who act like men. I dont like no sissy boys, the in touch with their feminie side, all matchy matchy, i cry in sad movies, i'll cook you a 3 course dinner, and spout off shakespere while i do it, kinda men.

I would rather have a guy grunt four sentences to me, then talk my head off all about his feelings.

I like the guys that are smart, i like funny. I like calm. I like assertive.

And i would really like a guy who took me to pizza hut.

I so want to respond to this (in a positive way), but I don't want to sound like I'm calling attention to myself, and don't want to hijack the thread either. :cool:
 
I like geeky guys, artistic guys, mechanic guys, non mechanic guys, professional guys, blue collar guys.

I look at the personality over everything else. Can you make me laugh, keep up with my insane life, call me to the carpet when needed. Everything else is side line to me. I like a creative soul personally, it would fit in with what I do. But it by no means a requirement.
 
I'm married, but I've always been mostly attracted to guys who are KIND and who love the Lord. Integrety is seXy.
 
I see no point in lying. Tried it... confused myself. It became a chore to keep track of what i'd told whom. So... honesty is the best policy. What is "matchy matchy"? I was raised primarily by women so I am "in touch" with the gentler side of me, but I'm also practical minded. Sweet, gentle, and artsy has it's place, but so does the rougher side of me. It takes a lot for me to cry, and if it's due to anger all I can say is RUN. I am intelligent, and funny depends on the person. I like puns for example. It takes me a few moments to catch any sexual double entendres.
 
Artistic men are not exacty my type but I do find these things interesting in a man. Specially if he knows how to play piano =), I looooove piano above from all other musical instruments. However, it's more important to me if he is smart, knows how to laugh and take a joke, and humility.
By the way cooking is a big bonus for me since I don't know how to cook, maybe he could teach me and we could cook together :).
 
This is really disappointing. The women here find computer nerds attractive but NOT artistic guys??? I think something is definitely amiss here.
 
that's maybe because in our day and age, the artistic sort is generally viewed as being borderline if not full blown gay.
 
I've ALWAYS had a thing for artsy guys... In college my friends used to tease me about my attraction to "art boys."

I love it when guys aren't afraid to wear jewelry (MEN'S-type things... leather bracelets, not diamond chokers!), experiment with their hair color (I used to actually like that old fad when guys bleached their hair and then let it grow out into a sort of two-tone look) and I REALLY admire people who can draw, paint, etc. It's completely fascinating to me.

I also used to read my brother's comic books... because I liked the illustrations. I love museums, architecture, galleries... I'd LOVE to have a guy who was into those things as well. But, I tend to be attracted to a little bit of everything, and of course, the heart is what really counts.

However, this is why I fell so hard for my ex-husband--he was the most unique combination I'd ever met--part jock, the strong will of a bad boy without being bad, artistic, and a bit of a computer nerd all rolled into one. Totally irresistible!

P.S. If I fell in love with an art guy, I wouldn't give a rip if people thought he was gay... (As long as he WASN'T actually gay, of course!!!) I actually dream of meeting a guy who is better at coordinating things better than I am..

I am an artist myself (visual). I don't care if a guy likes to sing or play instruments I could have it either way. But I don't want another visual artist taking up my space while I'm trying to work. We would need a huge house. I don't let anyone near my materials or in my workspace.

I'm a big fan of articulate communication and have found many artistic people to be especially good at expressing themselves... God speaks to us in many ways--I often think about what it would be like to meet someone who might not be able to say everything he was feeling in words, but maybe he could express it in a song, poem, painting, drawing, etc. I think that would be incredible!!!

If any of you remember the move Splash with Tom Hanks from WWAAYYY back in the day (he falls in love with a mermaid), there is a scene in which he asks her real name. She says, "There isn't a way of saying my name in your language." So he says, "Well, then just say it in your language, then!" She proceeds to say, "My name is... EEEEEEE-IIII-EEEEEE" (long, sonar, dolphin-type noises that blow out every piece of glass in the restaurant.)

I believe communication is the same way--God gives us many ways to express things and language (or grunts... via Nod! :D) is only one way of communicating... I like artistic things and people because they are other avenues of communicating with each other.

And if someone accused my husband of being gay? I'd just tell them, "Well, you can think what you want... BUT THE SEX IS FANTASTIC. Thanks for your concern."

Actually, that's precisely what I do. I can often express what I'm feeling in words (my tells are more in the tone of my voice and my body language though... i'm fairly easy to read) but what I don't know how to express can usually be articulated through either poetry, or playing one of my instruments. I tend to play around with no real intent of playing a particular song, but simply cause it to "speak" in tones that feel similar to what I'm feeling. And as time progresses a repetitive tune becomes noticeable. People have told me that when I "discover" these tunes and play them they evoke emotions too.... for instance I was playing one I found when I was depressed, my mother began to cry.
