To distinguish the characteristic of satan in men and women, even among us by the will of GOD, for us to be alert and to stay awake, can be recognized as follows based on Scripture;
1. JESUS just after baptism was led into the wildness and satan also quoted scripture in order to tempt JESUS as GOD has uttered them through Isaiah the Prophet, regarding the MESSIAH, the SON of GOD. The same using the word of GOD tempting Eve but in both account using them with a twist, as a thrown bait to fall for. Eve knew from Adam and Adam from direct GOD, the consequences and even mentioned them to satan.
For example, you as a parent know the consequences the bad things that world can offer and can effect your children's future, even in ruins or death or both. Some way or another you know the devourer is everywhere and even can come in disguise, So before hand, when your children are young and innocent, you speak to them about these available bad things and the consequences they may bring, as in the after math to all of them. And in entrusting them with these valuable commands and advices, you expected faithfulness from them, in accordance to mutual understanding and as being in 'oneness', as a family. But when your enemy who is what he is and can never change, who witnessed all of these sneaked in disguised as like every common unharmful things to you children and spoke to them using your very words and then with a twist to direct them to understand them in another different angle or 's' (a thrown bait). Your fed knowledge in faith children while remained focused on this interesting bait, they fell for it and were devoured by them, themselves, forgetting their parent's forbidden and prior consequences, given ahead of time in commands and advices.
So the devourer/initiator remains innocent for that is his reign and his very unchangeable nature and never at all caused any physical harm to anyone and only an all wise parent knows that all ahead of time for once the devourer was that parent's very own child but the first to rebel against them and separated for Good, as preferred. You as an loving parent not blaming and using the oldest's, as an example but directing the remaining ones to be faithful to what has been already given and established in the family. "Why should we judge outsiders, when GOD (parent) is their judge. Should we not judge our own members (siblings)?"
A Good and all wise parent will take charge of HIS children first and set then in order. They are to proof to others rooted to that parent and shame the enemy and his counterpart. In the book of Genesis, GOD as a faithful loving remaining parent to all good and evil (until an opportune destined time), did not punish, who were once from HIS womb (as a figure of speech) and nutured since young who became the first to rebel and founder of 'evil' and in enmity an everlasting enemy, even to GOD's faithful young family who are also scarcely in the verge of growing.
Not at all, if only we witnesses listen to the HOLY SPIRIT about the past in order for it not repeat itself, that the animal serpent who allowed satan to use it, as an unsuspecting common to nature vessel to devour was punished. and after that by nature every serpent moved on it's belly and randomly time after time, one of it commonly tend to when threatened, strike a man on their heel and randomly time after time, man also by nature in contrary commonly strike any serpent on it's head; "One of yours will strike hers on the heel and one of hers will strike yours on the head.". We can view these Scripture in both ways, spiritually the coming of MESSIAH and by nature as to everyday living examples. JESUS used this same terms with Nicodemus that; "Being a teacher and an instructer for Israel, if you do not understand the things I speak about here on earth, then how can you understand I speak the things about in Heaven."
Eve was punished and the ground for Adam.
satan walks free and innocent in relation to his nature for now until and opportune time destined. One may now immediately respond; "What a load of rubbish!"
Peace be with you, one only 'initiates' by twisting an Good established 'one' order, already given ahead of time and repeated time after time because many are in tendency to slumber off and in forgetfulness ignorance, due to the vast availability of initiated distractions and deceptions, in the form of many deviation in knowledge and materials, So we humans are the ones end up producing all of this availability in the world and market and causing for ourselves and others the aftermaths.
Now being in the family of the New Covenant, born of not only of water but of the HOLY SPIRIT, in sound doctrine faith, i judge and blame our and my 'self/carnality', rather than the world in blindness ignorance, will of GOD or satan in duty initiator and devourer, will of GOD.
HE is just building faithfulness and no one can con HIM nor advice HIM, how better all should be in 'self' opinion and 'self' thinking and 'self' understanding and how we can fix and make this world a better place, even for our children. HE do not forever and ever, fall for any of this cheap and short tricks of carnality and false spiritual deceptions, even to HIS few faithful remaining ones, even to those who have scarcely scrape through.
Why journey and continue in the vain efforts of carnality/fleshly/self, like the world and it's initiator and devourer, where ones we were enslave to?
2. JESUS rebuked even Peter during his discipleship, saying; "Get behind me satan, you think like everyone else."
It wasn't a nice thing to say in front of all the other disciples. But to JESUS it is a reminder and astir up of memory to all believers worldwide, that HE has no partiality for anyone nor allow anyone to try to get the best of HIM, even today in 'A Gathering'. Peter 'thought' like everyone else in carnality and in ignorance that it can be best one could reinterpret and override the written Holy Scripture of 'GOD's every Word', in order to please the MESSIAH with our wisdom.
Well, sorry to say to those who believe so, remain in carnality because in written Scripture used as reminders and to stir up memory, the HOLY SPIRIT again says that the MESSIAH only, 'obey GOD and only do HIS will'.
