All writers of the English language shall recognize that Canadians know how to spell it properly. Our neighbours to the South and our cousins across the pond are sadly confused regarding the catalogue of available terms. Remember, "it's all about 'u'". Don't get your pajamas in a twist over this; we are in the centre of the debate and as such have a natural role as moderators. It isn't a "flavour of the month" for us; we've been at it a while; we are well-practiced, and our behaviour is above reproach. There is no need for armour in our dialogue; we prefer "l'amour'" anyway. Measure the analogue of units; we use gallons and litres, miles and kilometres, pounds and dollars and kilograms. Even our temperatures are neatly divisible by ten.
One more thing, for your safety: grey tyres should be retired; they're worn out and should be replaced with new gray tires with the colourful bits still legible.

If Paul was inspired to write this, then it is not likely to be foolish!
I concede that it might me misunderstood or misapplied in foolish ways; but that is a different issue.

It's a bit of a concern that he wasn't deceived. You have to wonder why he ate the fruit then. We can only speculate.

I know of two pastors' wives who, when their husbands died, and no man came forward to fill the role, acted as pastor in the interim until a man could be found. In both cases there was no usurpation of authority and both did an excellent job of holding their congregations together until a man could be found to pastor the church. In one case she pastored for 4 years and did a very competent Job. She was in full agreement that she was filling a man's role and was ready to relinquish it as soon as a man stepped up. I find no quarrel with either of them.
What is objectionable is the precept that is commonly assumed from Paul's statement. That women are inherently ignorant, surely, is not what Paul was inspired to assert as irrefutable fact.
