I have a very fluid situation happening at my job at the moment and likely by the time this gets approved and posted I’d imagine the situation will have already been delt with. Boss threw me a curveball today. To summarize….. his mistake…. telling me to do something wrong and me obeying the boss cost the company 47,000usd damage against customers equipment. They are submitting it through insurance to cover. He pulled me into the office 10 minutes ago and gives me the “script” because the insurance agent wants to talk to me and I’m expecting the call shortly. Problem is his story is truthful except the part where he screwed up…. He bent the full truth of the story just enough and recolored it to make it seem like coincidence rather than our mess up. I know Holy Spirit is pushing me to tell the absolute truth. But I feel I’m getting hit with warfare about how I really need this job.
I wasn’t told directly to lie or that I’d lose my job if I told absolute truth but he tells me “this is the story I agree on and what the head boss agree on.” The only thing he said beyond that was to (be truthful) but I have a feeling by that statement he meant tell his version of truth to the insurance agent and not my own. I’d appreciate some prayers as I walk with God on this. Thanks.
