So im thinking about dating a guy soon not in 10 years i promise but without feeling self pity haah its been stressful lately with chronic migraines yesterday i was really depressed and its starting to hit me how this will kinda affect my life and frankly I didnt feel pretty at all because of drained from feeling dizzy nauseous etc yada yada (im sick of talking about it it was just depressing yesterday) but anyway... boyfriend um well ok theres this guy and im not saying anything else other than hes a real person hes a musician (not famous, local but not famous) and we have connections with each other the rest is private cause its personal i dont wish to share i want to protect myself but... im thinking hes young a musician but what I should expect from him and the both of us hes loving and caring were both gentle/sensitive I dont want to burden him with chronic migraines-stress related - nor do i want to depress him with a gf who seems currently to get ill alot i feel bad he'll have to suffer with me
anything i can do for him? the focus isnt me, obviously i dont want do things like complain lots and stuff .
Whats your advice ? have you been in a similiar situation ? like i feel for him and these arent as bad migraines as some ppl get but since theyre chronic he'll suffer abit with me. Yes i know my bf will love me as he should i hope he doesnt mind or whatever just want to encourage him

We all carry baggage of one sort or another. I don't see how your migraines will become a burden in your prospective relationship. Seriously, this is minor and he should be understanding about the situation. I don't see this as an issue.

Dude, you're suffering migraines and you're worried about how that will affect him? Oh man...if only there were more people like you in the world! That's some awesome selflessness, missy. *hugs*

Tell him about the migraines. If he gets farty about it, he might be an insensitive jerk, one you may or may not consider dating still. If he shrugs it off...he might just be plain insensitive. But if he offers compassion, that's a good start. :)

I'm sorry Missy you are a going through this, I am a fellow Migraine sufferer and have had so much stress and problems that was a trigger for them. I know exactly how you feel about feeling like you are a burden to others and in complete honesty that is what the enemy wants you to believe. I would get migraines about twice a week until April of this year and then I would get them about five times. I ended up collapsing a couple times and it was then I knew I needed to figure this out. I have tried avoiding different types of food and smells with no luck. My doctor is trying something to help decrease the amount and severity of them and I would be happy to share them with you so you can take this info to your doctor to find a solution that works best for you. The only catch is what they gave me is highly personal and don't feel comfortable sharing it in an open forum like this so send me a PM and I will happily give that to you. Take care of yourself and remember that the stripes Christ sustained on Calvary we are healed just keep your faith and trust in him. I will be praying for you

I wouldn't worry about it. I know what it's like to be scared to form intimate relationships with people because I'm afraid I'd be judged or be a burden or something along those lines. I remember on the first time I went camping with my fiancé before she passed away and telling her by our campfire that I had spent two years in prison for assault. It was the most terrifying moment I think of my entire life. Instead of freaking out she just talked to me about it and when I explained that I was protecting somebody else she understood.

I know it's not the same but just know that if somebody really cares about you and is worth your time they won't care about silly things and they'll love you for who you are and all the positive things about you, not for your mistakes and flaws.

Best of Luck!
Evan

As a child, I had an occasional migraine. They ended in my teens until I reached age 37. Then, out of the blue, on a weekend trip with my family, a migraine hit me so hard, so throbbing, so intense that I had what they call a T.I.A. The Dr. told me it may never happen again...or it could happen in 5 minutes. I am a CHRISTIAN...so, I took this as a serious sign that I need to get much closer to JESUS CHRIST ! I turned it totally over to HIM in private prayer and I asked a few holy spirit filled prayer warriors to lift this problem up to GOD on my behalf. I am now 60 and have never had a migraine since that day. Since HE is the Great Physician and knows my chemical makeup and issues, in pure faith, I let HIM use me and fill me, cleansing and healing me. I have also been healed of gout, scoliosis and more, as they arise. GOD is good and GOD listens to HIs own.
