How about some one just leading the entire congregation in songs without all the hoop-la that appeals to the flesh?
I prefer to call it music team lol. I play the violin in the group. I help with vocals from time to time. My husband plays guitar or bass.
I have played on worship teams, sung in choirs, led choirs, led worship teams and led the whole worship ministry in church.
I play flute, and sing lead and backup. I’m just happy when people are praising God, regardless of what the vehicle used to do that!

I prefer chior- which is fine outside of the first day of the week worship assembly.

Why do you need a "praise team" in a church?
What is the purpose?
What is the Scripture basis for a "praise team"?
I like both but probably prefer the band. I like a variety of songs and would like a band that encourages participation such as people being able to write songs and the band to sing some. I think it would be neat to hear a song a person from the church wrote whether in the music ministry or congregation.
