But, seriously folks... I had a friend visit me from California this past week. Her name is Kate, and she's 33. I'm 59. She's a good friend of mine. The age difference between us is not felt or seriously noticed. I almost feel like she's a peer.Sure, why not
But, when she came to church with me yesterday, a guy there asked if she was my daughter. I said 'no', and he looked somewhat taken back. I told him she was just my friend.
Just know that if you do do something like that (get involved with someone more than a decade younger than you), you are going to get looks, and probably some judgment too.
Has anyone actually read Generation X by Douglas Coupland.

In a nutshell, it wasn't so much about the whole 'my parents divorced and now I don't really know what to do with my life' kind of thing. To me it seemed like the offspring of people who grew up during the war I think it was just didn't understand why they didn't want to change their decor. lol

Congratulations!My wife and I have been married for over 30 years now and I am only about two weeks older than her. Our birthdays are coming up soon and we will both be 58 years old.
This is very interesting. I've heard similar responses in other areas. It must be different in the south though (the Deep South, that is). My experience in a relationship with a bigger age gap than that, no one ever said anything for years. Only one time did a young cashier stare at us (but who knows why she was really staring).

I hope you know that this was just intended to be humorous - teasing you about what you said.Well - she doesn't have to do all of that in a single day!
Again, it is not a 'to do' list of things every woman is required by God to do. Rather, it is a 'characteristic personality traits' list that reflects the mentality, disposition, and habit/practice of every 'virtuous' woman.

2) Unfortunately, you are correct about lots of guys.
3) In the context of the passage, that verse illustrates how/that such a woman contributes to her husband's success.
But....
Shouldn't the "Bride of Christ" absolutely be all of these things with those attitudes and ideals? (Possibly more?)
