In the words of an ex girlfriend from college.... "The way to a man's heart is not through his stomach, unless you have the right knife. The way to a man's will power, yeah, food will work." In retrospect, this REALLY should have been a Red Flag.
Reminiscing on the women from my past is like watching a fight scene from the Matrix in rewind. It's a review of bullets I've dodged.
If I ever try again, at least I have a wealth of lessons learned to build on.
Quite frankly, simply raising my kids and loving the Lord is pretty good. Having a few friends to share some of it with now and then is nice, too.
 
Aww no fun.... I found the thing that helps me most to get over Valentine's single blues is to doing something to make the day of a lonely single person who is even more lonely than me.
 
When you decide to check out a popular secular dating site and search for Christians- then finding only 1 male in your province that mentions God. Welp, I guess its back to waiting on God.
 
When you read through the posts on this thread with a sadness in your heart; as if you're comparing notes...
 
Is it me, or do dating sites in general just suck? Here on CC, especially if you cam and mic like I do, people get to see a taste of the person you are; your personality, your humour etc. On a dating site (christian or not), you get a pic and a ridiculously long profile about how someone likes to cook or go on incredibly long walks (neither of these are bad btw). I just think there are different ways for different people.

When you fall asleep at night asking why you always find bad men who make you cry or hurt you. Or you talk to yourself because youre so lonely. Or when u watch movies with ppl married with children and you see them not appreciating what they have and all you are waiting for is your opportunity at that good man who wants true love one woman marriage and kids too
 
You know you're having a hard time being single when.............. you have a choice of watching either The Avengers or Titanic, and by the end of the night you're yelling out "I'm the Lonely King of the World"
