You know you're stretching the truth when you tell someone you have received the Nobel Peace Prize on multiple occasions.
 
I know I'm stretching the truth when my personal stories are actually entertaining!
 
This thread reminds me of a church bulletin cartoon I saw. The scene was men's sunday school class. One guy sitting on the front row was looking smug and the guy beside him was looking dour. The teacher said, "Alright, when golf scores get below 90 and fish get above 15 pounds... it's time to start the sunday school lesson."
