If it's constructive criticism, I'd make a constructive adjustment. If it's just an attack, I'd ignore it. This is a delicate matter because some people let their delicate feelings get in the way of moving forward in their relationship with God and in their relationship with their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.
Sometimes it's easy to see how people let their pain and anger interfere with their blessings and ability to bear good fruit. We should be giving these things to God, pain, anger, etc. That doesn't mean it doesn't linger or won't come to the surface from time to time. But we should not wallow in it.
I feel a bit sad for those who feel they have to constantly be attacked to prove their devotion to God. Obviously, the faithful will be attacked from time to time. But almost asking for it by one's behavior, usually by attacking others with self-righteous ideals, does not bear fruit. People seem to continue to undervalue the importance of using Love to get their point across. Matthew 24:[SUP]12 [/SUP]And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
So accept or reject reproof as is warranted, tend to your hurt, anger, etc. as needed and then get about our Father's business and bear good fruit.
