Before now, i use to belong to the school of thought that women are not allowed to speak and must not rule over men according to paul in 1 Corinthians 14:34. But i think we got the concept all wrong

in the beginning, God created animals, food and shelter before creating Adam, Adam had a job, his job was to give nomenclature to every specie of plant and animal in the garden. God said in genesis that it was not good for a man to be alone, then Eve came forth.

my point is this:

Before Adam had a wife, he had a shelter, he had job and food to feed the woman

it is the job of the men to work hard in order to provide shelter and food for the women and it is the job of the woman to bring forth children in sorrow, this was a curse on mankind by God from the beginning. Gen 3:16-18

Today, women are now the workforce, the breadwinner of most homes; some men do not even have shelter, most men this days move to stay with their spouse/girlfriends.

These days, most men are just too lazy to work, they are always afraid to fail; women are standing up to fill the gap. But in the Law of Moses, it was not stated in that order, that was why it was easy for Paul to make reference to the law.

These women are carrying our curse according to Gen. 3:17 and i don't God would be happy with the lazy men. Some women even work three different shifts on daily basis, just to get food and shelter for their boyfriend/hubby, but these was supposed to be our ultimate goal in life. In the time of old, women were not allowed to work…

However, look at our society today, what is happening!

It is time for the men to wake up, let us take up our responsibilities

Until then, let the women speak

I agree.... I don't know where the OP is from, but where I'm from, most men work.

Thanks Hornetguy for pointing out the geographical difference there. That probably has something to do with it. The OP could've said "it seems that most men in my country are too lazy to work". That would've softened it up some.

I'm entirely sure that is how it works my friend. I don't think most men are to lazy to work in fact almost every man I know works and sometimes even when their health is bad, women can easily be seen in the same way but in all honesty I think it's equal.
Believe me lots of people would kill to not have to work and still be able to provide for their families but because that isn't how the world normally works men and women work their butts off and deal with crappy jobs and mean employers and unfair wages.

As for women speaking and such I believe in equality I think God will use whom ever he chooses for whatever purposes he wants even a women being a pastor, I do not think God is sexist and I do not think he chooses favorites. Men were originally created to be in the leadership role even from the garden adam was in charge of everything it never spoke of eve helping to name the animals and such and men always worked the field all through out the bible and all through out the bible it was the men God used to lead such as David joseph moses abraham ect. However I wouldn't put god in a box either, in a day and age when women have far more rights than they used to it wouldn't surprise me in the least bit if he used women to help lead his flock.

in fact one of the people here i respect the most both as a teacher and as a friend Angela is a female pastor, when i was still very young in faith she gave me direction and correction even though at first I rebuked it not having the wisdom to learn from others yet, she is a very well respected member of cc by many people. And yet many here would have that she not speak in church or lead God's flock as a pastor even though she has the maturity wisdom and insight to do so.

I am not saying the scriptures are wrong and that Paul was being sexist but i do think God makes exceptions and calls women to lead when needs them to

Yes, but not all continents are the same. As a rule men in Africa and India are lazy (although not all).

But Paul still said, Adam was not deceived. He went into things with his mind open. But the woman was deceived. This still has to be borne in mind when discussing questions of leadership and final authority.

however, your op was general in nature and not specific to your own country as you now seem to indicate

perhaps if someone from the States wrote an op reflecting on your topic but from their perspective, you might also
react similarly

take a view to how the reader might interpret or understand an op

You used the phrase "rule over men". Men should not dominate women, nor women dominate men.

We are equal in the spiritual realm, but in the natural men should have the final say in matters after prayer of both and discussion.

Adam did lightly esteem the fact that he was son of God....but Eve was deceived by what? One of the bibles calls the serpent the "shining one". Things that "glitter" are not always gold.

So in the Lord there is balance.

The world? Chaos.
