Hey Everyone!!

I was in the store today and all the colorful Easter-themed goodies made me smile.

What would you put into the perfect Easter basket? Maybe you'd even use a special container? Favorite candy and goodies? Decorations? Candles? Stuffed animals?

I have a very weak spot for:

1. Cadbury Creme Eggs!!!!! Especially the filling!!!! It's tough for me to resist buying the multi-packs... all for myself!!
2. Cadbury Mini Eggs--just the right amount of chocolate and sugar shell (you might be sensing a pattern here).
3. PEEPS!!! In every color!! And now you can even get a "Peepsicle"--4 peeps on a stick!! What will they think of next!! It's a Peeps-Kabob!!

I also have a very soft spot in my heart for Snoopy and Woodstock (from the Peanuts comic strip) and came close to buying a stuffed Woodstock wearing a pair of bunny ears for my friend's little girl. Ah... I will most likely succumb the next time I'm in the store.

NOW I KNOW SOMEONE OUT THERE WILL SAY, "EASTER IS ABOUT JESUS AND THE RESURRECTION AND NOT ABOUT EGGS AND BUNNIES AND CHICKS," AND I COULDN'T AGREE MORE.

However, I wanted to have a little fun... And at my old job, my boss, a devout Christian, held an Easter Egg hunt in our store for the neighborhood kids using plastic eggs filled with coupons for free items.

And, inside each plastic egg, he also included a slip of paper that said, "Jesus Loves You--Happy Easter!" It was his own special way of witnessing to the community.

So... what would you include in the Perfect Easter Egg Basket/Hunt? (And would you share it/give it away or keep it all to yourself?) :) I'm not telling. But with THOSE kinds of goodies involved... Well...

This original post will now self-destruct! :D

The JW, SDA, and other "Christian" cultists will be along shortly to condemn your paganism. Just a "heads up." Peace.

Just fill the entire thing up with Cadburry cream eggs with one peep on top so I can bite it's head off. I'm easy to please :P

For me: Fill the entire basket with Reese's peanut butter eggs. And then in another basket, just fill it with fuzzy kittens. Not for eating, of course. I don't know why I felt the need to clarify that.

If I had a significant other, I'd hide Easter eggs, and inside them would be his favorite candy and slips of paper that say things I like/admire about him. Twice as sweet. :o

I might get stoned for this by Peep lovers, but I can't stand Peeps. Bleh. But I don't really care for marshmellowy things in general. :)

-Mini-eggs are THE BEST! It is a shame that they have them out all year now. It was so special getting them at easter.
-Hollow bunnies with those crunchy painted sugar eyes are always a favorite
-Anything with chocolate really, but it has to be real chocolate, and none of this 'chocolate flavored' business that they sell at dollar stores.
-I like dying hard-boil eggs, hate eating them

I once had a dream that I was at a grocery store and they were selling pink kittens that when ripe would turn into chocolate and people kept trying to buy them to eat them. I tried to save them lol

I forgot about resee eggs...I need two baskets now. lol

I'm hoping that when they try to stone me, it's going to be with Cadbury Creme Eggs. At least I'll die amongst a pile of chocolate--who could ask more than that??!!

When I first read this, I was thinking, "Fuzzy Kittens? Is that a new kind of candy I haven't tried?!" Yes, it's late. And, no likey the Peeps??? BOO! :)

This is my kind of thinking! :D

Brownies, Brownies, and more Brownies inside a special Brownie basket. Yeah, I have a slight fascination for brownies.

What she said. ^^^^
Supersize the Reese's, hold the Peeps. (and the kittens)

I don't care for solid chocolate eggs, so probably giant chocolate eggs filled with Skittles(TM). I'd be on a sugar high but all the same it would be glorious.

This! I love the peanut butter eggs, they are simply amazing! It's weird, they seem to taste better than the regular peanut butter cups. I always love when the eggs start showing up, and then sad then they take them away. lol So, one basket full of the Reese's peanut butter eggs is the only way to go.

It should be illegal to mix peanut butter with chocolate....ack
