Uh. No. Elizabeth, pain in childbirth means exactly that 'physical pain in childbirth'. The Bible holds great spiritual truths but much of it concerns and is grounded in a very real physical world. The Bible concerns both the physical and the spiritual, not just the spiritual.
If God were to write everything, with the spiritual understanding being the main point, meaning nothing physical, then the people of that time would never believe Him. Because then, seeing was believing. But now, believing is seeing. The Bible is written the way it is, because this Gospel isn't meant for everyone. "Don't give a pearl to hogs"
That verse says it all. And you can't have both physical and spiritual. It's one, or nothing.

So since you are going to spiritualize everything away, then what about creation was it literal or spiritual? The flood in Noah's time? tower of Babel? Is salvation literal or spiritual?
Physical at that time, yes. But spiritual in our time. We are living in the ear of grace, not law. Spiritual, not physical. Salvation, is for your spirit. Your spirit gets saved, not your flesh.

I assure you of the physical pain most experience during child birth is still very literal. ;)

Physical at that time, yes. But spiritual in our time. We are living in the ear of grace, not law. Spiritual, not physical. Salvation, is for your spirit. Your spirit gets saved, not your flesh.
When Jesus returns He will give His people a new physical body, that is what the Bible says. it will be a body as Christ had after the resurrection, physical. Jesus ate fish after the resurrection showing He was not a spirit.

Tell me this, we say the flesh can never sin again. But that's the lie of the Devil. The fact that we will always sin in the flesh, is the truth. You can't possibly not sin in the flesh anymore. How many of you can? Because I know I can't. But thank the Lord that He doesn't judge me in my flesh. God looks at my heart. It's my spirit that God looks at, not my flesh. For my sins, He remembers no more. And that's the point of Jesus coming. To tell us that in the flesh, we'll always sin. But, in the spirit, we can have a new life. The flesh doesn't matter. From dust we come, to dust we go. But the spirit remains forever.

No my dear we say we will always sin. It is not us that say we can stop sinning it is the Word of God that says this. Look what the Word says, not me or you GOD!

God says the ones that Loves Him will KEEP HIS WORD. Not the hearers the DOERS is the nes that keep His Word... And this is HIS WORD. Not mine God's!.. Matthew 5:48... Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Why do you thing Jesus said this? To tease us with His righteousness and Holiness? NOPE! Jesus knew what His crucifixion, and resurrection will aghieve! The crucifixion and the resurrection, is the SALVATION OF GOD FOR US... God crucify the old man of Satan, and resurrect the NEW MAN OF GOD. This is the ONLY Gospel taught in the Bible.

There is NOT one verse that indicate that a saved man is still sinner, NOT ONE! There are many verses that indicates that the NEW CREATURE that was saved from sin, is as holy, as perfect and as glorified as Jesus Christ HIMSELF was. So where people scratch a doctrine together that God saves a sinner to be a new sinner, I do not know.

Tintin is one of these old man dead new man same sinner people. But then he is just tin-tin. he never show verses to confirm his doctrine..... There are no verses that helps him proof his doctrine.

I can go on and on, but God truly works in this way... God calls sinner to repent.... Sinner obey and repent, and God leads sinner out of all sin... Now sinner sin no more and God refers to these people as SAINTS... then God completed the saints like this.... Eph 4:11 to 13....
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
Eph 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Eph 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

There is no other doctrine, this is the ONLY TRUE BIBLICAL PROVEN DOCTRINE OF GOD... GOD TAKES A SINNER AND MAKES HIM AS PERFECT AS HIMSELF....

Yes, I know. The Bible can be read two ways; Physical, and spiritual. Yes, the physical reading was real. Everything did happen, and everything is still happening. But what God wants us to see is the spiritual meaning behind it all. Because behind every verse, there is a spiritual teaching about Jesus.

Yes, I agree. But, for the thousand time, God is a spirit. The spirit is made to be like God, not the flesh. Do you understand the point I'm trying to bring across?

The Bible says the law is spiritual yet it is also literal. We cannot do away with the literal.

But that wasn't what you said... you said 'we're ALL children of the Devil. '

Anyway, I'm done bumping this thread, carry on.
You didn't have to comment, really. And yes; we. Because we are all human. In the flesh, we're all the same. You, and I, in the flesh, are exactly the same. But the flesh belongs to Caesar. The spirit belongs to God. So, I'll give God what belongs to Him. My flesh doesn't belong to God. So why would I want to give Him something so useless? And just so this doesn't confuse anyone, I'm not saying the flesh is evil.

We can't do away with the literal. But again, which is going to Heaven, your flesh, or your spirit? Sow your seed into one of them. And if it's the right one, you'll see the beautiful harvest.

You are young and i'm only asking.

Do you fast?

When we fast we find the flesh is weak and wants to eat, our body does not function well.

But we have decided to fast and our Spirit is the strength against the flesh.

Likewise, when Temptation comes our way by the power of the Holy Spirit which guides and comforts us we can be lead away.

Satan used scripture when he tempted our Messiah Yahshua to worship him.

Is it written in Scripture that we will always sin and the Holy Spirit can not stop this?

In heaven we will have real bodies, though not the ones we have now. We will eat, drink, build houses, plant vineyards. We will have literal bodies doing literal things but as I said not with the bodies we have now. Even angels eat.

Could you explain thsi verse ?

What law is this ?

Does this proverb apply for us today ?

Why or Why not ?

Proverbs 28

9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

I don't fast, no. I find that fasting doesn't bring me closer to God. All it does is make me hungry. I'm living in the dispensation of grace. Yes, the Lord fasted. I know that. But the flesh will be the flesh. And the spirit is the spirit. I try to focus on my spirit. Once in a while, I'll fall back in my flesh. But, the love of God helps me turn back to Him.

Where did you get that? The bodies we have, will have no blood in them. They are spiritual bodies. In the Kingdom of Heaven, we won't strive anymore.

Okay, was just wondering.

One must never tell another to fast, you have stated your belief. :)

That verse simply means that the Law, we still need it. But, we need it only to realize we are sinners. You can't pray to God thinking you're so perfect. You pray to God for guidance, and you seek His help. How are you to do so, when you don't see your sin? That's why we still need the Law. But, we are not subjected to it. You want to follow? Go ahead. No one's stopping you. But, we're man, and we'll fall back again.

My belief is Christ. That's all there is to say about my belief. Like Christ said, All the biggest sins start with "i"

Holistically you belong to God. That means spirit/soul and body. Please don't act like you're so sure of everything. You have much to learn, as do we all.
