the title was a mistake she has already apologized for.

yes she admitted to doing it to get attention. yes it wrong to speak words for that reason.

However, it seems to me that she was speaking AGAINST those words. Her response was that through Jesus She is NOW a child of God. that though in the past she might have been called a child of Satan. NOW she has been born again and is a child of God.

....................

"those are the words of satan"

perhaps everyone should pray before speaking?

Okay,

could you show me please where in the Scriptures unsaved humans are called " children of Satan "?

For I'm sick and tired to be sick and tired to hear such an awful heresy !

If demons can be saved, you could as well tell Satan and his demons are saved,
and you know this is not the case !

Temporary rebellious children are one thing, demons who are pure evil are another thing !

Do you understand the difference ?

A child of the devil, isn't a demon. God created Lucifer and those demons. In no way was Lucifer their "father". They chose to follow him. And I agree that I made a mistake with that title. It was rude, and inconsiderate of me. I should've took a much loving approach, but I didn't. I can't change the past. But all I can do is ask you to forgive me. I'm only human, and I make mistakes. Don't judge me because of a mistake I made. Cause if God were to do that, there was no point of Christ dying for me. I sincerely apologize to everyone on here, and I hope you can forgive me.
God bless.

Hi Elizabeth, some folks aren't happy until they find something to be offended about. It gives them "purpose".

I see it this way: unsaved people are lost people. Not necessarily children of Satan, but just Lost. To me a child of Satan chooses Satan, just like the demons and people that worship Satan

DragonSlayer, are you related to the user "SerpentSlayer" who believed that Adam was really the Serpent that tempted Eve and there is a race of demons in human bodies or something like that?

as for your question about scripture where JESUS calls the Pharisees and Scribes CHILDREN OF THE DEVIL, it has been quoted quite a few times in this thread itself but if you need it again here it is:

John 8
[h=3][/h][SUP]37 [/SUP]“I know that you are Abraham’s descendants, but you seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you.[SUP]38 [/SUP]I speak what I have seen with My Father, and you do what you have seen with[SUP][l][/SUP] your father.”

[SUP]39 [/SUP]They answered and said to Him, “Abraham is our father.”

Jesus said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham. [SUP]40 [/SUP]But now you seek to kill Me, a Man who has told you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this. [SUP]41 [/SUP]You do the deeds of your father.”
Then they said to Him, “We were not born of fornication; we have one Father—God.”
[SUP]42 [/SUP]Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. [SUP]43 [/SUP]Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. [SUP]44 [/SUP]You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. [SUP]45 [/SUP]But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me.

I see it this way: unsaved people are lost people. Not necessarily children of Satan, but just Lost. To me a child of Satan chooses Satan, just like the demons and people that worship Satan
Not necessarily. I was once a child of the devil, not because I worshiped him, but because I was born into sin. But, I have been reconciled back together with God. Demons are angels that turned against God, and Lucifer is their leader. If someone was to go to Hell, that wouldn't make them a demon. In the same manner, if I were to go to Heaven, I wouldn't be an angel. Because angels are created beings. And so are humans. We call them angels, and we call ourselves humans.

You cant' teach her anything, she already has the truth from the Holy Spirit. It is a gift and requires no study. You can devise how to teach her, but it is to no avail because she has already been given from within, not from study.
You intellectuals will never find it. The way to salvation is way above your understanding.

That is quite a statement you have made.

Truth hurts. Not many will agree with you, for today's so called carnal Christians want to align the Bible to their fickle minds, instead of the vice versa. English being my second language, i hope i will explain better to support your point. Doen' the bible say '' we all have sinned and come short of the glory of God'' . Rom 8:23. Sin here is not implying what we have done, but the ''Adamic nature'' a one year baby boy carry the Adamic nature( original sin/depravity) the root of sin, or the mother of all sins, or th tree of sin. You may be good, you don't do all those practical sins, but you are still a sinner by nature. For we were born in inqutiy (psalms 51:3) if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us'' @ (1jhn 1:8) if i understand english well, the word ''sin'' is singular, so this sin is a nature rather than a charecter. your second point is also true, that sin is in the flesh. 100%. The point here is that sin is in our blood, genes ... whatever science calls it. And blood is in every vein from head to toe. DNA test can show if the child is yours, But Adam's DNA is in all of us. The snake, i mean reall snake feeds on dust, the devil being called the serpent feeds on the what ? The flesh. So those who are not sanctified are inwardly evil, even if outwardly good, they harbour sins like lust, hatred, unforgiveness, resentments, pride e.t.c. And as long as sin dwells in you, whose daughters and sons are what is reffered to as fruits of the flesh/ sins of the flesh, the bible says you are a child of the devil. @ 1 Jhn 3:8-10. That hurts the sinner who deceives him/herself into believing that he/she is a christian. Im glad thi teenager also gives a solution to this, and that is Christ, on His baptism, yes many may differ, but he did it for us, for whatever Jesus did, it was for us, HE LIVED 4 US, AND HE DIED FOR US. And about the language used, it only offends the Adamic nature in you, for it begs like Legion, ''I ADJURE YOU BY GOD, DO NOT TORMENT US'' . SINNERS WANT TO BE EXHORTED, OR COURTED, but that isn't God's way.. from Moses, to the apostles. ''is not my word like a fire, and like a hammer...'' Jer 23:29.

I don't need your opinion. I'm sorry for sounding rude. It's not my intention, but apparently that's how it comes off. Honestly, I can't say that they're my words. It's all written in the Word of God. But people miss it, or ignore it. I may be 15. But that doesn't make me smarter than you, or anyone else. God works through anyone, and everyone. I thought you knew that. Just because you're older, it doesn't make you right either. Sometimes, we all just need to listen. I've listened to so many people. I've heard it all. You're not the first one. But, what I said, was the truth. And that, I'm confident of. If you don't believe me, then you don't believe the Word of God. It's simple as that.

And sorry if it comes off as me sounding rude. Again, not my intention.
God bless.

Frankly, all you have stated is your opinion, if you want to teach me something, do it with meaningful exegesis.

This whole thread is based on the young lady taking one verse completely out of context. Jesus was talking to the Pharisee's. Is there a Biblical truth in what he said, that we can apply to us?

YES

If you rightly divide the word and check 1 John 3.8 it cross checks what Jesus was saying to the pharisee's.

That all said, ElizabethPeter, you need to apply basic Bible study principles, before attempting to comment or teach the meat of the word.

The basic's of Bible study you failed to apply are:
1) Who are the characters in the passage
2) Who is talking in the passage
3) Who is the person in the passage talking to
4) What is the central theme in the passage.

You need to read the entire chapter to understand why Jesus said what he did. You picked a few verses out of context to support your conversation and now you cannot defined it, because you are a babe that needs the milk, before strong meat.

Always remember Text Taken out of Context Becomes a Pretext.

You need to sit down take a breath and stop working people up, you are defending a topic, you are not prepared to handle, because you have not applied Basic Bible Study methods to this topic and cannot even rightly divide the word to defend yourself.

read all of Hebrews 5 and 6 and concentrate heavily on Heb 5.11-14
[SUP]11 [/SUP]Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Now let this thread go.

Say what you will, she drew out the comments```
Drew out the comments? What is that supposed to mean? Because I take in everything you guys have told me, and I understand where you're all coming from.

I understand your point, and I apologize on my behalf. It was completely wrong of me to do so, but I will stand firm in my faith in Christ, until the day He takes me back. I'm not being ignorant of what you've said, or what anyone here has said. I've taken it in, and I have understood your points. But, in the end, it's better to have faith in God than to trust man, and that's precisely what I'll do. I'll surrender myself to the Lord, in the hopes that He will guide me. He's already guiding me, and I'm still learning. I may fumble, and I may make mistakes. But don't use my mistakes against me. Cause if God did, I wouldn't be His child.
Thank you for your inputs, and opinions. God bless.

I'm already in a great church, and great youth. Thank you for your concern. Plus, I'm already enjoying eternal life, so, it's all good. God is good and the praise goes to Him, and Him alone.

DO ANIMALS HAVE A SPIRIT ? YOU TOLD ME YOU WILL GET BACK TO ME ON THAT

I thought the comment about being a child of the devil was about where they say that Cain and Abel are twins and that Adam is Abel's father but Satan is Cain's father and where in the Bible when they say they are the child of Satan they are talking about the children of Cain because his father is Satan and so his children are all of Satan.

Cain's was ABEL's BROTHER. they had the same physical father and mother: ADAM and EVE.

Genesis 4
Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, and said, “I have acquired a man from the Lord.” Then she bore again, this time his brother Abel.

I believe "Cain" is the Hebrew word for "acquire" . that is why ADAM says "I have acquired a man from the Lord."

Therefore CAIN came from THE LORD.

i don't see my post on here but I was saying I thought you meant being a child of the devil about how Satan is the father of Cain and then Adam is only the father of Abel and so Cain is of the devil. He has a different bloodline or genealogy than Adam.
