Okay, I have a virtual machine with my real IP address and go to a known malware injection site and it hijacks my browser.
‘Then I use another virtual machine with a vpn software changing my IP address.. I go to the same same site and my browser is hijacked.

Nothing. Vpn has nothing to do with defense mechanism of your device.
