Anyone used NORD VPN?

You would be surprised to find out most all your browsers use chromium, therefore about 97% or more of PC's use a chromium browser.
I believe even firefox uses it now.
I can actually end the multiple Chromes in my task manager & not affect it's ability at all. But they come back.

Yes that’s true about chromium browsers, what differs is the programming in the back end and how much crap they inject into your system.

Google for example has many scheduled tasks and many services which run under the System account which spawn Google (when you kill the task) or end other scheduled tasks such as self-updates.

Ram tho, should not be an issue anymore nowadays when most laptops come with 4-8GB of Ram or more.

I have a 4gig ram PC & it crashed many times as a result. My real problem there is the system says I have only 2.7 gig usable.

There’s many variables here which need to be looked at, and it’s not an easy thing to do remotely.
First you want to check if you’re running a 32Bit OS or a 64bit OS.
The 64 bit OS will use all your available Ram, and a 32Bit on will use in actuality what you have now.

Then, in your task manager sort by Ram and see which program is taking more Ram on average.

If google is your main browser, try Firefox which is more lightweight, or PaleMoon browser which can also be run from a usb drive.

Firefox does it, too.
I have a nice little program called Process Hacker, it's like task manager, but it's so much better. For instance, if task manager shows 13-17 chrome.exe's running this one will show ALL of them, usually 20-30. I've found when chrome starts multiplying, I use PH to suspend the smallest chrome & it stops.
Problem is, though, you can't open another new tab or go to a new site without un-suspending it.

If portable apps crash, then you may have other os-related issues , not browser issues.

I've tried portable chrome, Firefox, & Pale moon. My current one is Maxthon, but it does it too, just not as bad.
ALL chromium-based browsers do.

Okay so this means that you have some sort of os-related issue in the mix. Because this doesn’t typically happen.

‘It may be an over aggressive antivirus , maybe windows files are corrupt and you need to run an sfc scan, or you need to analyze event logs under the applications category for the clues of crashes. Maybe you need some sort of .net framework or some sort of visual ++ redistributable. Could be a lot of things.

Try an sfc scan first.

It does it on my work Pc, as well as others I have with a fresh Win7 on them. I've tried dual booting with Win10 (to my dislike) & it does it too.

Okay so the reason for this question is basically a network-level firewall question. Is there a network level firewall preventing multiple devices from accessing the internet? Is there some sort of content management or filtering software running from a network level?

But for specifics you need to look at event viewer for clues.
‘Go to computer management, event viewer, windows logs, application then look at events in red or not red applying to google chrome crashing. On the bottom part you might have clues.

I'm sorry, when I say they all do it, I meant load up useless .exes. Only Firefox has full crashes. The others slow down to a crawl & glitch.
My work PC does well because it has 16 gig of ram. But the exes still load up.

All right, so, if your personal pc has a firefox crash, are you able to look at the event viewer recording that crash? Or any google crashes in there?

And where do you have a dual boot system? On your personal laptop I assume?

Entire threads are rarely deleted, if ever. And because you simply didn't like the turn the thread took would not be considered a valid reason.
Thread derailments, whether good or bad, are the norm and to be expected. A thread staying on topic for two pages is about the best you can hope for. Often less than that though.

The most you could do is report a person that bothers you, but in this (and most cases) it likely won't go anywhere as the person you're bothered by didn't break ToS, but rather you were offended by their view. And that is not seen as a viable reason to take action against a user.

Really your best action is to simply quit coming to the thread. And if that user bothers you, put them on ignore, so you don't have to deal with them elsewhere on the site, either.

Using VPNs or proxies is a matter of personal preference and safety. For instance, I always use my favorite proxy server connection when sharing personal data online, especially when it's about finances. It's not because I'm paranoid but because I know some people who became victims of online scams and hacks.

It's just a matter of personal protection, that's it. If you want to try a good proxy, take a look at at&t proxies for the beginning. Mobile proxies are one of the most reliable because the user gets assigned a new IP every time he/she connects to the network.
