How do you post a snippet of the original poster?

Sometimes i don't want to reply to the whole post of someone,but i want them to know that i am replying to them.How do i reply if i just want to post a snippet of their post and still have it say who the op is that i am replying to?

I'm guessing you're wanting to do what I just did with your post and only quoted the final sentence. All you have to do is hit the reply with quote button, then delete the portion of the post that you are not responding to.
